There's versions of Duran Floyd could beat due to Duran's poor discipline but the very best of Duran does not lose to Floyd Mayweather at any weight imo. Let's say the Duran of Montreal fought Mayweather of the Marquez fight. How do you see that one going down?

 

The thing is Duran has the biggest apologist in the history of the sport this version is unbeatable that version didn't train. What I'm saying is that lesser fighters than PBF beat Duran. PBF's length reflexes counter punching stamina ring IQ defense speed movement would trouble Duran. PBF's fight against JMM was IMO his last prime fight. PBF would simply look to outbox Duran from the outside where he holds a big reach advantage PBF won't be drawn into a fight with Duran like SRL was in their first fight PBF is too smart and will fight his fight he will do what it takes to win that's the difference between PBF and SRL. If PBF fights Duran from the outside and looks to move there's little Duran can do he will frustrate and outbox Duran to a UD win.

 

You don't know **** about boxing. PBF is too good defensively and has too much of a reach advantage to be destroyed by Duran dummy. This isn't a video game.

 

Floyd Mayweather was amazing against Juan Manuel Marquez , at that time he was in his prime , he was unbelievable from 2007-2012 , he was declining when he fought Pacquiao and was not in his prime.
People only say that Duran would win ,because he is a legend and Mayweather is not.
But in 30 years he will be a legend too and everybody will say that he would win against Duran.

SRL fought a dumb fight he brawled too much with Duran he didn't fight his fight. PBF wouldn't make that mistake he cares about wining at all cost. He will box and move from the outside against Duran.

 

He basically discredited that entire era of boxing with that statement.

 

And Floyd never fought anybody in their prime better than Jose Luis Castillo. Do you realize how out of his depth and unprepared Mayweather is for a prime Duran? If his best opponent is JLC then how can he prepare himself for Duran.
