Just what would be Floyds best win Castillo? When the greatest pound for pound ratings in boxing history are released Floyds name is never near the top ten , while Durans is always top 10 and in most cases top 5. There's a reason for that.

Because people loved his machismo his style and he's the greatest Latino fighter of all time and the fact that he beat SRL. With that said you have to look at his flaws **** discipline mentally weak no mas and loses to all of the fab 4 including Benitez. Lastly no current or future fighter ever will grace the top 10 P4P list because the older fighters are held in such high regard. SRR will always be the the GOAT.

I think his point is that Duran showed he had arguably the most "complete" skillset in boxing history when he was in his prime, and he arguably does from the footage we have of all the greats. It isn't an uncommon opinion that Duran at his best is the most complete on footage. Ray Leonard is up there too.

The reason Duran could hang with prime Hagler and beat much bigger men like Barkley when way past his best is due to his immense all round boxing ability and ring intelligence. You tell me another boxer in history that started fighting at bantamweight that could beat Ray Leonard, go 15 competative rounds with prime Hagler and beat Iran Barkley who was big enough to fight at the heavyweights ? Name me at least one fighter with the all round attributes to pull that off ? Duran was also robbed against a 34 yo Camacho when he was a 45 yo fat fvck. Duran was a freak.

At Boxrec all-time Ratings , Floyd Mayweather is listed as number 1 and Roberto Duran as number 13,
Julio Cesar Chavez is listed at number 8 as best Latino fighter.
Sugar Ray Robinson is listed as number 2 and Archie Moore as number 3.
The Ratings are made on Points , the better your Opponents , the more Points you get.
If you lose , you will lose some Points .
Roberto Duran is not even Top 10 careerwise , while Mayweather had the best career in professional boxing history.

No one with a functioning brain takes that ranking system seriously. Seems It was deliberately created to make lil Floyd fanboys cream in their pants

I am not a Floyd fanboy , but you are a hater .
This ranking System has a Point , it is not that bad.
Not every ranking is complete bull**** only because your favorite Fighter is not at number 1 .
It has flaws like every other ranking system but to say that only r**ards see their Point , is ignorant.
The ranking gives you a good look at the careers of Boxers.
And you can clearly see that Mayweather had the better career.

I think when it comes to mythical matchup, both sides have their arguments, it's very subjective and nobody could have found out for sure.
I guess we can all agree that Duran had the greater height for his wins and greater low as well for his losses compare to the unbeaten Floyd.
This seems to be a norm for all old school great fighters.
Both have amazing array of skills offensive and defensive wise. Consensusly Duran will always be ranked higher than Floyd in all time sense, more beloved for his style and persona and he fought in 5 decades.

First, Mayweather was not outweighed by 20 pounds against JLC. They weighed in at 135 pounds. The rehydration weights were different, but even then it was not close to 20 pounds.

But that's not the really egregious thing about this post. What I don't understand is how you can compare their opponents. You say Duran lost and point out his losses (past prime btw) to much bigger, younger and stronger fighters. But the travesty is you try and compare his tough fights to Floyd's. Which is puzzling. You just tried to compare JLC and Maidana to Hagler, Hearns, Benitez and Leonard. I mean really dude? Why?????? Just why?

Floyd had tough fights against Maidana and Castillo , but dominated Pacquiao,Cotto and Juan Manuel Marquez,
they are the equivalent of Hagler,Hearns and Leonard in his era.

Duran lost to De Jesus but you gloss right over that. He was prime then as well at his so called best weight. I can't wait to hear your excuse for that one.:risas3:

Of course it is , think about it , the modern fab 4 are Mayweather,Pacquiao,JMM and Miguel Cotto.
Why do you hate Mayweather that much , it is unbelievable , it is like he has an affair with your girlfriend
or some sh*t , you have to admit that he is a great boxer and you will feel better after that , trust me.

It's not even an opinion. It's a ranking created by a computer program. It genuinely is RANK.
