Looks like Chavez Jr is putting in good and serious work, he looked great in the recent leaked photos.

Canelo is in for a tough fight. He will be forced to move more than he's used too.

Does Chavez back Canelo up? I'd say he does more than Canelo backs him up.

Canelo will land many shots in his bursts.

    Should be a fun fight!

I think Alvarez wins, but by decision and close (maybe controversial).
He has issues with technical outside fighters and that's far from what he's fighting now, but Chavez is bigger and stronger, which I believe will give the ginger all he can handle.

I agree with your post re the styles that give Canelo trouble

It's just been such a wacky year! You never know anymore
    Chocolatito losing
    Bellew beating Haye!
    GGG Jacobs being so close

    I've got my fingers crossed

If Chavez comes in to win and it appears to be that way. We are in for a treat. Canelo is lazy and likes to lay back and counter. If Chavez can impose his size and force him to give ground, it's anybody's game.

I think it could be a closely contested fight imo. Chavez just has to start fast and keep up the pace for the full 12 rounds, because if he let's Canelo grab too many early rounds and starts late like he did with Martinez, his only shot will be by a KO.. And Canelo's chin is definitely A grade, so start fast and keep up the pressure. Man I can't wait, 1 more month baby!

If Chavez was at something like 168 (fight weight- but not at Canelo weight) id give him more than a fair chance of doing something with Alvarez but he doesnt live the life and although he looks in good shape I can see him gassing - you can't get away dropping this much weight - his chin has been cracked now as well so I think Canelo will probably stop him..It could be fun early doors

Saw a picture and he looks in unbelievable shape but that extra few pounds to bpil down is going to be a killer for him. He doesnt look like he has much more to lose!

My hope is that this fight plays out like Cotto/Margarito 1.

I would laugh my ass off if Canelo takes a knee against Chavez; and watch Oscar's reaction to see their cherry pick back fire on them.

If Chavez makes the weight healthily(which is looking likely), then this is a pick ;em fight for me.

Canelo has never fought someone with the physical advantages Chavez will have

Canelo won't knock him out, he will win UD irrespective of how well he performs. Chavez could rain the punches down on Canelos head for 12 rounds and he'd still lose.

Remember one judge gave him the nod when he got outclassed against Floyd. That is the kind of backing this ginger bread boy has got in his favour.

He's got a month to shed the extra weight. I don't think it will be a problem at all.

172 down to 168 can be taken care of by re-hydration alone. He's on-point...

    Sicker than watching robberies occur?
