Judging by his last two bouts (Chilemba, Ward) and his age, Kovalev is on a downhill slope, specifically his stamina. It seems lots of athletes have a sharp drop off anywhere from 32 to 35, save few genetic outliers. I think Kovalev only has about 6 rounds where his punches still carry steam.

Unless he gets Ward out by the 6th, we're looking at another home favorable decision by the home judges.

 

The problem for you KANvolev nut huggers is that the winner of a fight isn't determined by judging one round. Championship fights are 12 rounds, Einstein..

Well i hope he smashes Ward in to little pieces. But the truth is he can be as angry as he wants it isnt guna make Wards skill go away. I cant see him finding Ward any easier to handle than he did in the 1st fight. Kovalev is going to have to work harder to win. A few of the close rounds given to Ward should really have gone to Kovalev, if he had just done a little more in those rounds they should of swung in his favour.

 

There was only ONE clear example of Ward butting Kessler. The second was clearly accidental. There were no other headbutts in the fight.
