8-4 Kovalev + he had knockdown also,only way u can score it for Ward is if u give him ALL close rounds,pure robbery for that reason.

Correct we arent the judges but popular opinion says Kovalev won. Why else is Ward so but hurt and trying to convince everyone he won

 

I had it 6-6 so Kov winning with the kd. I've no issue with the scores going the other way given how close the fight was.

Glad a rematch has been signed so we can get a clear winner this time.

 

Original scoring was 114-113 Ward. I see an equal case for Kovalev by 1 or 2 points. I scored it for Kovalev by 1 round the next time I watched it. One of my very favourite fights to watch.
I'm fed up of people calling it a robbery. Every single time, people are giving Kovalev extra credit for his shots BECAUSE he's the bigger puncher, rather than look at the shots that he actually did land in the fight.
Ward took over the fight and I think he understands the mind of Kovalev very well. If I were a betting man, I'd put a lot of money on Ward this time round given the close odds (although I'd be very nervous throughout lol).

I had it 7-4-1 personally. Add the knockdown in and it was a clear win for Kov.

However, it is irrelevant now. Ward has inked, settle it in the rematch.
