Is this a stalling tactic by Golovkins team to buy time to see how negotiations with Canelo progress or did GGG hurt himself in the Jacobs fight? Could this explain GGG's somewhat subdued performance in the Jacobs fight or did this injury occur after the fight? Does anyone know the nature of this apparent injury?
There were reports they were still trying to get the investment together for the Kazakh site. That would have to be done before they could contract with the fighters, I imagine. GGG dominated the number 2 MW in the world, who fought in survival mode for 12 rounds. There was no injury.
Of all the excuses they could have come up with to duck the fight I have to say this is probably the one I am willing to give a pass to tbh. I personally hate fighters fighting with injuries eg Haye, Pacman and Dillian Whyte, the excuses after are unbearable even if I am a fan of the fighter. Ah well at least Bill can look for all those other huge name options he can go to now
I struggle to believe anything that comes out of his mouth, but I have no reason to doubt that he has been told GGGs injured. He has nothing to gain from GGG being injured, actually he could gain more calling him a ***** Borat Coward.
