New boxer starting out gets bullied and put up against pro inside Mayweather Gym

    Seriously this sorry excuse for a gym needs shutting down. Before there was floyd with hsi Dog House nonsense, encouraging his fighters and newcomers to fight an opponent one after the after without rest, while endangering their careers. There was one point where Floyd is seen dancing in front of a boxer while he is on the floor and he is meant to be the ref.

    Then there is this nonsense, where a man is trying to learn the basics and gets put in against pro and then has to listen to Floyd's crackhead old man tell him to never come there again.

    They've done some shady stuff in the past but this isn't too bad. The guy held his own and didn't take that much punishment. He was smiling in the interview afterwards. Sr. also wasn't harsh when he said "you know better than to come back here" he was joking around.

    2. It's to break them. Separate the weak from the strong. Initiation.

    He knows what he's signing up for.

    I've been beat up worse by someone who clearly outsized me in the ring. Not the best gym policy but it's not some human rights abuse lol

    Canelo Jr didn't seem to mind and its not like he got hurt or anything. If I was that kid I would be grateful for the work, access to facilities & the time & advice Floyd Snr et al provided.

    Sr wasn't joking around, that was a warning not to bother coming back.

    And that was a nervous smile as he was surrounded by a pack of animals. Do you really believe he was going to start kicking back with him one alone?

    They simply bullied him without reprieve.

    Supposedly, this happens in every boxing gym, completely normal. Either it's people trying to instill a boxing "tough" ethos into gym members, or it's more experienced fighters luring novices into the ring to work on some moves they can't pull off against other guys their level.

    Saw this a while back and it's NOT surprising to be honest.

    It would be HILARIOUS if Loma, Usyk, Teslenko, Beterbiev, Fury and Kovalev walked in that gym. I mean what would any of those... people do about it? ;)

    Yeah he was so serious he had his arm around his shoulder. That dude probably has some sort of membership. If he's just visiting for the day then it probably is best he doesn't come back because that gym is for pros mainly.

    "Bullied him without reprieve" :lol: come on man it was one round of moderate sparring and nobody crapped on him.

    Floyd's gym has looked worse than that in the past tbh. Some real douchery has gone on there.
