Stevenson has not had a meaningful fight now in 3 years, (I'll forgive the Williams fight as he hadn't fought in a year). I consider him a top 4 LHW as he did beat Dawson so his lineage is "subjectively" legitimate, but you can't really defend this type of ****. He needs to either **** or get off the pot.
I don't blame Stevenson. I don't like it but if I am Adonis I probably do likewise. Apparently he gets a guaranteed $2M each defence so of course he wants to keep the gravy train rolling. The WBC are the real villains here, why do they protect Stevenson? (& Wilder)? I would assume Haymon is greasing their palms but then I don't understand why he would, considering neither has incredible drawing power and in Stevensons case he has Beterbiev on the books who he could replace Adonis with, Artur wouldn't dodge challenges as he is avoided and surely wants big fights and the $$$$ that comes with them. What am I missing here?
That's crazy that he's getting 2mill a pop for these "defences". His handlers must be making a significant loss.
