Petrov never beaten anyone of note. He's a gatekeeper that's all. Flanagan should beat him handily.

3 of his last 4 opponents. He stopped legitimate contenders Quintero and Perez in his last 2 fights. Did you see the Perez fight? Corner stoppage, but Petrov knocked Perez down and landed a lot of destructive shots. He's not a knockout artist but he really commits and punches with his body and has a 50% stoppage rate. He's a much harder puncher than Flanagan who is simply a light hitter.

Disagree, Liam is clearly the better fighter and will edge it by three or four rounds.

Petrov's resume is as good as Flanagan's. Flanagan's never beaten a world class lightweight. He's been feasting on featherweights and old men. If Zepeda didn't suffer a freak injury against him Flanagan would've been knocked out and we wouldn't be talking about him. Flanagan has to answer a lot of questions tonight in his biggest step up in class.

you sound like a flanagan hater saying that he would of been knocked out by zepeda. no one knows how that fight would of gone, zepeda hasnt ko'd anyone rated highly, flanagan has never been stopped.

The way that fight went it can't be counted as a quality win. Zepeda is really heavy handed, and Flanagan only luckily didn't have to feel it.

flanagan should win if he is the real deal. If you followed petrov you know he's no slouch

A 6'6 cruiserweight. Intriguing. I know this is a low level fight but that British stoppage sucked.

petrov is as game as they come. This is Flanagan's first real test he's just had quizzes. Will flanagan pass or fail?
Maidana had to use a dodgy premature stoppage against petrov.
