El Gato is too quick for marty

 

Gethin looks like a man who couldn't give a toss.

Really really poor from Gethin, it's almost like he wants to be stopped.

 

he was in the ring with El Gato, a dangerous place to be.

 

That was the second televised mismatch

 

Oh well, closer too the main two fights.

I would normally be ranting and saying Gethin shouldn't be paid because of such a lack of effort but I thought that was a mismatch anyway.

 

Doesn't mean it won't be entertaining!

 

Gethin who has been "done" for a while, beat a mentally flat John Wayne Hibberd, but he is just SO easy to hit, poor foot movement, no head movement, his hands were barely moving. It was painful to watch, he needs to retire.
Take nothing away from Catteral, but he was faced with an absolute easy fight to look good in as Gethin was beaten before he came into the ring.

Shame, that this fight was like this.

 

I don't know if Hibbert's issue is mental as much as it is physical and condition oriented. He's become very chinny and is always blowing hard after boxing for a few rounds.

 

Yeah I agree but that was far too easy, it was a mismatch but I will agree with you and say Gethin a few years back would have been a bit of a handful but as @saintsmike said Gethin has been done for a while.

 

I remember Gethin knocking a fighter down hard but then retiring between rounds, I believe an ear drum issue. One of the dodgiest things I've ever seen in the ring. Looked like someone had a chat with him in between rounds about throwing the fight and he concurred whole heartedly. .
