Nice post and very informative, although that is certainly a generous summary of Brooks resume. Kell has put to bed any notion that he is a cherry picker, first with the Golovkin suicide mission and now taking on the 147 version in the much hyped (with good reason) & feared E. Spence.

porter is a tough out....hes tough as hell...but hes still a B level guy....high B level guy....i dont see how you can rate someone p4p top 10 off of beeating porter but say spence will just crack your top 15 if he beats brook in brooks backyard.....it makes 0 sense

senchenkos career is solid ...when you strip away the only real world class guys hes faced...when you cant beat paulie at home in 2012 you arent world class.....

you are comparing mike jennings vs cotto...vs brook...thats crazy....for cotto it was essentially a comeback fight off the heels of brutal margarito fight....and it was arums doing so he could set pac up for another title and a big money fight.....not to mention i dont think anyone was giving cotto any props for it....when looking at cottos resume jennings is merely a blip....a pit stop

you are going out of your way here to prop up brooks resume...this looks similar to CST trying to prop up the 160 division for golovkins sake....ur crazy going out of your way to make jennings and senchenko look like real good wins or act like people touted cottos win over jennings....its reaching at its finest

as i said....brooks one good win is against a tough, high b level, porter....real good win...but that is IT....and you had him top 10 p4p before golovkin.....one would naturally think that spence beating brook in his backyward would do better than just having spence crack your top 15....

if you want to say you think spence is having trouble making weight or is damaged from the golovkin fight...i might buy it...or at least listen....trying to make brooks resume sound good isnt gonna fly

Never said Senchenko is a "real good wins".......I'm saying that both are solid wins in a division that had been rife with mandos being ducked to allow the "2-headed king" to cherry pick money fights vs big name Cans.....AmeriCANs, Puerto RiCANS, and MexiCANS. :dunno

Was Margo the very best LMW??? Hell no?
Yet Pac pulled him down to 151 to take his crown.
Were Foreman(broke down to boot) or Jennings titles worthy of a NAME fighter like Cotto to make his bid at becoming a 2 and 3 weight world champ???? :confundio1:

    Hell's fukking NO!!!!

Yet they're justified to bolster the resumes of the Kings, Pac and May, who waited til they were so old that one had torn meniscus in his shoulder, and the other needed TRT (masked by IV fluids pre-drug screen) to make the fight of the century :deal:

As for Porter.....he's A level. Broner+, Malignaggi, Alexander+, Dan, Gavin-, Bizier, Lawson-, Senchenko, M Hatton, Gavin-, Bundu, Algeri, Berto+, LoGreco-, Diaz, Robinson- etc are B- to B+ level, depending on how they fare vs other B level fighters.
Porter, IMO, nicked the Thurman fight, but, Thurman dominated Danny, so Thurman is ELITE for me, even though prior to Porter and Garcia, he'd not yet beat another A lister.
Now, he's on my top P4P list, and I don't see him losing soon unless it's vs the Brook Spence winner, and that would certainly move him N on my list.

As for Crawfish.....he's getting KTFO in his next fight.
He's the fighter who who claim GGG is.....and HBO fabrication, and MOF, not only am I picking Diaz to SPARK Crawdaddy, I'd tip Broner and Mikey to do the job as well, and GOD HELP Crawfish should he come through Diaz with a Peterson type robbery win, and end up staring at Mathysee across the ring.

Depend on how Spence wins too.
As for his resume, he's really only got Algeri B- when they fought, and Bundu B- as well as LoGreco-, and Van Heerden-.
No really top B level contenders as his best win, Bundu was was 41 when they fought and Algeri at 147 is nothing short of a joke since his power is such that even Khan could take his flush shots without flinching.

Now....if Spence shows such power and speed that he not only befuddles Brook from the outside, but beats him down on the inside, and dominates him to a stoppage, that will drop Brook from my top 20, and bring Spence into my top 10.
I just don't see Spence duplicating GGGs KO5 performance which is what it will take for me.

I actually think Brook will win a close fight needing a KD to swing the fight his way since British judges have never really been kind to him. And I don't think this fight will be any different.

My prediction.....Brook by mid-late rds KO(if Spence doesn't have the chin for this level) or SD with scores in the neighborhood of 114-113(Spence) 116-111(Brook) 114-113(Brook)

This is his 5th fight since outclassing Porter, who is a clear A level fighter, even if it's an A- since he couldnt quite get the nod vs now Elite Thurman, and was dominated by Brook.
Porter will re-establish his A level with a KO or dominant win over Berto, though I think we'll see the best Berto since his first fight with Ortiz, and Porter will need to be at his absolute best since Berto will clearly be the far bigger man with the better overall skillset.
Porter's pressure style will need to be sharp and in at it's best to stop the iron chinned giant WW Berto. But IMO, he's looking very sharp since his L to Brook.

That said, and with that narrative in mind, 3 of 4 fights since Porter have been IBF mandatories, all 3 of which he was threatened into taking.
He was looking at having to fight Bundu prior to the Vargas unification, MONEY FIGHT, and the IBF actually was kind enough not to force that fight and allow for the 7 mil Superfight.

However, Brexit caused a sharp decline in the GBP, and Arum and Vargas didn't like the idea of fighting for less than 1/2 of the negotiated amount of nearly 3.5 mil.
Had Arum and Hearn waited 8 weeks and postponed the negotiation, they'd have witnesses the rebound of the GBP, and the unification fight could have proceeded, and fairly certain that Brook would have boxed Vargas ears off moving him into the top 5 p4p, and saved him from himself taking the GGG fight.

Im happy Spence is getting a fight, but I'd been happier if Brook petitioned the IBF to be fight for the LMW title vs Harrison while Spence and Porter or Berto could have fought for the WW title.

That said...winning the IBF LMW title vs Harrison would have also put him back into the top 10, but not into the 7 spot where he was pre-GGG.

After last night... Lomachenko, GGG, Kovalev, Usyk and Gvozdyk.

I might have to re-evaluate that list depending on how bad Wladimir mutilates Joshua on the 29th

@chitownfightfan - How can you not be happier with Brook/Spence than Kell moving up, are you that concerned about Brook being drained or what?

    ward
    kovalev
    gonzalez
    lomachenko
    crawford

I actually had Kovalev winning the Ward fight so the top 1 spot is kinda iffy for me, it's between the two basically but since Ward officially won it I'll put him as #1.
