Hmmm not sure what you mean by that last part?? People IMO have always been passionate about a smaller guy having success against a SHW. Anyways, I agree with you in that I see AJ beating Osyk soundly.
Exactly , to have success as a small heavyweight , you need power , like David Haye or Mike Tyson had. It is very rare , that a Cruiserweight has success in the heavyweight division. Evander Holyfield is the exception , but he had an unbelievable chin and underrated punching power and boxing skills , he was a great inside fighter and had exceptional stamina. Usyk is no Holyfield , he is not even a David Haye. Cruiserweight David Haye would have knocked Michael Hunter out in 4 rounds.
I said he had a good chance which he did but still had Usyk as the favored...Hunter clearly won the first 4 rnds and round five was CLOSE despite the delusion on here....Anyone can go through my posts to see what i said ,its really simple. And as a matter of FACT i posted my prediction on you tube and reposted it here,or do you not read other posts on here because it was SPOT on???? SMH The reality check is hunter was getting tired from constant Usyk pressure bc hes physically stronger....i would LOVE to see him grind Joshua down like that....YEA RIGHT!!!!! The way he was getting tagged up ,he wouldnt see rnd 3 if that in a fight with Joshua. lmao ANYONE who thinks this was EASY or not competitive fight for Usyk .......DKSAB...just LOOK at how hard he had to wear out hunter while eating MANY punches himself.and the reality is if you ACTUALLy watch the punches landed...well some rnds are arguably hunters,so it was closer than ppl WANT to admit...MOST of the rounds was a back and forth event for BOTH guys and really the final rnd was the only dominated rnd for Usyk where you can SAY he completely dominated ...you just have to LOOK at the fight and PUNCHES.!
Not only that, but the real joke beyond the obvious physical advantages and skills Joshua has over Usyk is Joshua would excell with southpaws bc of his counter right hand, which only further adds to such a mismatch ...i BET no one thought of that either!!!!!!!END thread! lmao
The first time , i watched the fight , i had it 115-112 , the second time 116-111 , Usyk was outboxed in the first 4 or 5 rounds. If he struggles with the jab of Michael Hunter , imagine him fighting with Wladimir Klitschko , he would get schooled and knocked out.
This is a different Joshua now though. Even though his opponents have been next to nothing, I think his improvements are there. Saying that, I have Usyk winning a UD over Joshua. Most HWs wouldnt be able to stave off a Joshua attack at some point, I think Usyk does and no doubt for me who the superior boxer is. Would be ****ing interesting though! The Wlad fight would reveal a lot of AJ's true level.
2 main reasons why I pick AJ over Usyk: 1) AJ is much bigger and stronger physically 2) AJ is a quick starter and Usyk is a slow starter.
AJ would KO UYSK becoz AJ is physically larger, immense power in either hand and starts fights quicker. Simple.
Joshua has hardly been hit, and takes a while to stop tier two, non-top ten level opponents. His movement is north to south for the most part, is untested in the later rounds, and Usyk would be his best opponent to date. I'd favor Joshua, but not a huge margin.
