they have both been down. beterbievs was a Balance shot and he won by ko the next round.
Karpency dropped Gvodzyk and hurt him badly and he took rounds to recover and it took him until round 6 to finish him. this is a shot worn karpency who stevenson knocked out easily. and people called Karpency a bum at the time.

so assuming forum posters wont have it both ways Karpency was dropped by a bum.
or stevenson beat a tought veteran fast. which is it.

I side was dropped by a bum and hurt badly.

    Beterbiev

He does not need to load up as much on his punches

    He is naturally bigger

He is better on the inside

His short punches are already loaded and as devastating as Gvozdyk's long outside shots.

I need to see Gvozdyk again. as far as I see now he'd have to go an entire fight without having a punch land upstairs. also amateur stars often have a trouble with inside fighters

Beterbiev would have trouble with Gvozdyk's jab and footwork.

First time I saw Gvozdyk last night and wow I think this guy could potentially beat anyone at 175.

From what I saw last night, Gvozdyk would probably handle Beterbiev. Too much size, too much jab, too much sharpness...

Stop mentioning Lazcano, this is your FIRST and FINAL warning.

This is a we'll timed thread.

What a great fight this could be.

Rather see them fight a few other guys first and see them pass those tests before however.

Competitive but I'd favor Beterbiev. I find Gzozdyk to be a bit more exciting so far but I can't help but think Beterbiev would pull a Gassiev on him and be too much to handle.

One other thing to consider for those backing Beterbiev is that Gvozdyk seems to be improving quickly and adapting to the pro game well. He just needs to get a bit smarter on the inside, then he'll be ready to have an excellent shot at beating Beterbiev IMHO.

"just abit smarter on the inside" against someone like Beterbiev is like saying "you need to throw more punches to beat Mayweather".

Gvozdyk has improved a lot since the Karpency fight, which was 2 fights prior to Gonzalez.

Not really, Gvozdyk will never be able to beat Beterbiev on the inside, but he needs to know how to tie him up effectively and let the ref break them up. Gvozdyk vs Beterbiev is simply whether Gvozdyk can do more at range vs Beterbiev up close, even small improvements could be important for Gvozdyk.

Respectfully, let's agree to disagree. :)

For what it's worth, I think Gvozdyk is very good but I have seen some mistakes from him that I think are habitual and not easy to correct as they are lifetime weathered (IMO).

I truly think Beterbiev is the next LHW king.
