I believe that Hamed retired at 28 after 37 fights and Khan is currently 30 with 35 fights. Who's boxing career do you more highly rate: Naseem Hamed's or that of Amir Khan's to date?

Hamed got COMPLETELY outclassed/dominated/embarassed by Barrera as soon as he stepped up in a very one sided fight that showed he was not elite. and then retired at a young age. I definitely think he was overrated, however he was a good fighter.

Khan is a bum, a laughing stock..he is like an Audley or a Price except he got a manufactured undeserved world title shot on a plate.
Goes without saying Hamed had a better career.

I think Hamed had the tools to beat anybody but he just
Wonder how good Naz could have been if he stuck with Ingle.

Hamed. Better wins, better style and never got chinned or badly hurt by a journeyman.

Hamed was flair and style personified. He was never dropped by sub British level opponents like Willie Limond, never knocked out clean within 90 seconds by a Colombian cab driver, and Hamed dominated his opponents with an arrogant preciousness.

Hamed was the man until he stepped up and was beaten once.

Khan and Hamed do not belong in the same sentance.

thing you might need to consider is...if hamed had stuck around waht would have happened.

if he had stepped up more than once...

He retired Depressed Herol because.. he knew he couldn't compete with the top guys in his weight..Barrera, Pacquaio, Marquez, Morales, etc they'd have all slaughtered him.

Pretty much sums up a thread that should have never been started. Have a look on you tube if you have never seen Nasseem Hamed fight.

I hated Hamed and was desperate for someone to spark him out but I was a silly young lad who got sucked in by the panto villain stuff and didn't appreciate the incredible boxing skills and the showman skills that this fella had. Khan never has nor never will be on the same level and the only reason I can think of why anyone would draw comparisons is because they're both brown cos skills wise they're miles apart.

It was a shame Hamed got distracted by the bright lights and greedy people round him and lost his focus and his support network around him.
