Kovalev's thoughts on Wards punching power.

Kovalev has stamina issues. That cannot be solved at 33 years old when you are in the best shape you can be. He admits to getting tired in the 5th. He will either try to outbox to preserve energy or he will rush the KO and get tired again.

If Ward hits like a woman then Kovalev better be content with the decision when he loses rounds getting his head snapped back from jabs like he was that woman's back-talking child.

 

He didn't school him but I had Ward eeking out a decision. By just one point, like all the judges (though my rounds were different). It was very close and Ward controlled many of the rounds. I don't think Kovalev outboxed Ward but he was competitive with his pressure.

 

No integrity? What has Ward done to show lack of integrity? He moved up and took on the toughest guy in the division and is now fulfilling his obligation for the rematch. He has consistently fought the best guys and has a very impressive resume. So he doesn't bend to the will of his opponents or the fans! You don't like him because he got the decision and doesn't admit he lost...so what! You ever stop and think that maybe he actually believes he won the fight and the total lack of credit given may be greater motivation than you guys know. You guys are of the opinion that Ward knows he lost and is acting the way he is because he's a diva. But, if he believes he won, I can see why he's acting the way he is!

 

SOB is a cheat. SOB has always insisted on having his judges, referee, boxing commission, etc., SOB refused the rematch unless he could pick out all three judges and the referee, we all knock the Vegas boxing commission is owned by SOB. Anyone who though SOB won the fight is purely biased as hell, I suspect a bigot................even SOB's fans booed the decision, no way did SOB will that fight, points for low blows to the balls, legs, grabbing Kovalev's leg, holding, elbow, trying to headbutt the entire fight, SOB did not fight, look at SOB's face, then look at Kovalev's........................Kovalev staggered SOB with a jab, then knocked him down. If the fight goes the distance, then SOB's judges will give him the decision, even if Kovalev Knocks SOB down in every round, that's the way it goes..................I want a real fighter to watch, not a cheat who picks the judges and referee.....................

I mean, does anyone even dispute the fact that Ward
has no real legit power? Stylistically he doesn't need it.
Ward's attributes are his timing, pure skillset and his
physical brute strength on the inside. He wears guys
down.

If Ward didn't have respectable power then he would've just walked through Ward AND he would've fought him on the inside. He didn't. He boxed and I don't blame him. You do what you do best.
