I have a feeling Ward is gonna get hurt this time. When Kov is mad, he's frightening. I think he stops Ward. He's gonna push the tempo much more and eat those slaps. Ward is going to have to get down and dirty to get to the scorecards, but Kov will land bombs along the way. Ward has no bombs in return, just potshots.

This is so intense! Both guys want it so bad. I predict another close one, but I wouldn't be shocked at a Kov destruction or an impressive inside Ward counterpunching performance. At first I wondered if Kovalev might be getting too hot-headed, and that could lead to opening himself up for Ward. But his temperament in the ring has always been as a boxer first, who does everything off his jab. He won't be turning into Provodnikov on fight night, he'll just be more intensely focused on an efficient attack. And I think JDJ hinted at what changes we'll see when he said he wants Kovalev to focus on endurance.

Kov does look a bit pudgy here. Hope it's just a thick sweater, lol.
