Sergey come fight night will have a psychological advantage over Ward. Andre will be looking into the eyes of somebody that he KNOWS beat him in that first fight. And he will also be looking into the eyes of the most motivated Sergey to date.

    Ward is getting starched

Lol Kovalev has to stop the boogeyman approach, it failed in the first fight. Ward has nothing to be afraid of.

Ward is like the passenger who on one occasion, decides to step in front of the train to display his bravery and merely escapes with his life due to the drivers diligence.

Before the train driver saw ahead the lone figure on the tracks and duly put on his emergency breaks as he knew he would kill him if he went any further. However foolishly this same foolhardy passenger then attempts to fool all the witnesses by proclaiming to everyone that he was the one who had stopped the train through his will

The witnesses challenge the passenger, to repeat the feat if he truly does possess the ability to stop the train. He then argues that he deserves a break after working hard to stop the train and returns home and says he may never return to any station again much to the crowd's disappointment and doubt.

The driver hears word of these stories that his train was overcome by a man who was situated on the tracks. Bewildered and riled that such an attempt to spare the passangers life was not appreciated, he promised that next time his train would not stop, but instead his hands would only push firmly on the leaver to accelerate without letting go.

The passanger after being flooded with questions and offers from the media, journalists and dabblers, lamentably becomes drunk and overcome by his own ego, leading him to genuinely believe that he really did stop the train. Through his boastfulness he is left with no choice but to attempt to repeat the feat.

The passanger's only hope is that the train driver doesn't turn up or the train itself malfunctions before it connects with his body. Lamentably the misguided passanger fails to realise this isn't any old train, it's made from pure Russian steel and the driver has shined up and put in special oil to make it glide even faster for more devastating impact.

Kovalev is falling in love with his own hype.

He has one more chance to correct that (percieved) wrong. If Ward schools him this time, this guy's head in going to be a total mess and his confidence will take a long time to restore itself. These macho types don't handle losses too well.

I am not saying Ward is afraid as he is a mental giant, but fighting a man who has previously killed an opponent and who hates your guts and wants to "destroy" you might qualify as something to be afraid of.

    Lol!!

Not sure if you have seen the vast majority's opinions or just don't want to face reality but... Ward DIDN'T "just beat" Sergey. Lol! He was GIFTED a win. Big difference ;)

Fact is that he got pummelled right round the ring for the first half of the fight. The reason he got back into it is because Sergei gassed, and not because of anything he did in particular. If Kovalev solves his conditioning problem, Ward is in deep dogsh*t.

This is one of the handful of times I've heard anything intelligent come out of this idiots mouth. Although the way he tried hacking on Russel Jr for losing to The PFP #1 Lomachenko was stupid.

He already took Kovalev's best and won the first fight.

Now all Ward sees is a guy who can be exploited psychologically because he will be fighting on anger and emotion.

Amazing on here you would think Kovalev had put a beat down on Ward in their first fight, in essence he couldn't really do anything with Ward in there.
I think Ward will probably beat him more convincingly next time.

Ward's probably hoping Kovalev is driven more by emotions than smarts. That likely favors Ward.

Not only did he beat Kovalev by officially getting the victory. But he also beat Kovalev by destroying the myth that whatever he hits he destroys. Kovalev had Ward right where he wanted him, but Kovalev wasn't good enough to finish him off, and then he never had Ward in trouble again.

Well, you are definitely in the minority with the opinion that Ward actually deserved the W in that fight! You have every right to your opinion.

But I really think Sergey is a different animal than most and will use this dislike he has towards Ward to his benefit. He'll channel it properly and drop Ward like a sack of potatoes in June while NOT overtraining this time ;)
