90000 will be attending live, so surely that would drop the numbers by 10's of thousands. 19.95 is getting more expensive which might send more punters to the pubs?? Can it still crack 1 mill or is that far fetched?
Is there any data on PPV buys or does everyone just assume fast car Eddie is telling everyone the truth ?
Didn't they say Joshua - Whyte did 475k? Surely this is a bigger fight even if the build up has been dull
I think it will still do a million PPV or if not it will come very close to it. If Bellew v Haye can do 800,000 then this fight should be able to do more.
Thing is Bellew v Haye had a very tasty build up, lots of slagging and bust ups etc. and both fighters are polarising figures who people wanted to see one (or both) get knocked out.... Hatton was a hero in the UK at the time, he carried british boxing for a while, so when he was fighting TBE, it was bound to do HUGE numbers... Floyd v Manny - Boxing fans had been waiting for this fight, regardless of the fight going how it did, everyone wanted to see this, casuals soaked up the "greatest fight of all time" stuff, this fight did huge numbers worldwide so it was bound to do well in the UK. i think AJ v Wlad will probably touch the million mark, AJ's following is astronomical in the UK and most of the average joes know who Wlad is. They will all be expecting a brutal AJ knockout based on Fury beating Wlad and because Fury isn't a knockout machine, that automatically makes Joshua better... Be interesting to see his come back numbers and whether it's PPV if Wlad put's out the bonfire.
Oh and another point on the buys.... This fight is getting shoved down the countries throat so much for the next 3 weeks, trust me!
