Mentioning Wilder and Tyson in the same sentence, paragraph, article or even a book should be a crime.
You also cannot be delusional without such belief. Honestly, Wilder is an idjit. He beats a walking pinata and tries to promote himself with incredulous statements that not even boxing fans with Down Syndrome could swallow.
He probably does have better power than Tyson. It does not mean that Wilder is necessarily a world class fighter though. There have been many massive punchers who were nothing special [Vladimir Virchis springs to mind as an example!]
No, he hits harder than Tyson. But he doesn't have even half of his chin, that's his problem, and you can't grow muscles on a chin.
He's a LOT more than just a big right hand. The haterz either don't want to see it, or they collectively DKSAB. Probably both.
Until he beats an opponent of relevence in the top 10, and it seems like Vitali is retiring since he has no intent of defending the belt in the next 5 years and hasn't in the last1, it seems until he gets knocked up by Wlad he will still just be beating bums. Even if he scores 1 round ko of fat steve, fat bermaine, fat insert everyother heavyweight except klitschko. It means nothing. Maybe fury and banks are not complete waste of skin, at least fury pulled his ass off the matt to win, but banks through a fight likely for moeny to seth mitchell, so forget about him.
All fighters rising feast on easy targets, let's face it these guys start off with 0 fights too. However, in this case I must openly say that the opponents Tyson fought weren't HALF as bad as the ones Wilder is fighting. Back then the heavyweight division wasn't doing as horrible as it is today and there were lots of guys joining in. Bring me ONE opponent Tyson fought rising that looked as terrible as this, seriously. [yt]gUlfI5VlZuY[/yt]
Tyson was a world champion the 2nd year as a professional. Wilder has a more extensive amateur career, and if he had gone Tyson's route, he'd have been world champion in 2010. Think about that for a second. And here we are in 2013, talking about Wilder being some next Tyson.. give me a ****ing break. atsch
Wilder hasn't proven crap yet in his career...let's see how he fairs against a proven guy like Arreola and see how he does. To early to start anointing this guy the next great American Heavyweight.
