Why the cutoff for Weaver, Norton, and Tyson? Steroids were around and boxing hadn't bothered to ban them.

A heavyweight who wasn't on them would've been handicapping themselves voluntarily based on rules that didn't exist because of what people 20 years later would think. Strikes me as a pretty odd motivation.

Surprised no one's mentioned ol' Ike. He had cannonball shoulders, 240 lbs of muscle without an ounce of fat on him with a work rate to rival Evander down at cruiser.

They are sculpted but Lewis is a notably bigger speciman which is what Rez was getting at i reckon. He's quite well built in a massive package.

Im so used to the lazy lethargic slightly flabby lennox of the late 90's-early 2000's who had brawls with holfield and vitali that this pic surprised me lol. Lennox was indeed a powerful, gifted specimen at his peak. So easy to give into temptation once you reach the top and youre no longer hungry for success, competition, or money.

Jeffries had a pretty impressive physique for a guy who was 6'1 with no modern weights, steroids, or nutrition 100+ years ago.

Lewis was a monster, Athletic with great physical tools who had a good head on his shoulders as well. You see clear improvement from the time he started with Emmanuel Steward. Early in his career very raw, as much a puncher as a boxer later in his career he became a true boxer puncher who used his size and skills to his advantage with help from Emmanuel Steward.

Trio of big, strong heavyweight Brit's all fighting at around the same time, all with impressive physiques... Mason, Bruno and Lennox. Three completely different career trajectories success wise there. Interesting.

If best physique can be measured by who would make the best transition to a bodybuilding career, without a doubt it would be Mike Weaver.

Frank Bruno looked like he had already made the transition to bodybuilder but unfortunately for him,as shown in his title challenge against a soft bodied looking Tim Witherspoon, the best looking muscled body doesn't always equate to better fighting stamina and endurance.
