I'm glad he didn't get the Pac payday, and I hope that once he realizes that he will never get the payday he has been hunting for all those years, the Brook fight will be off the menu as well. I wouldn't miss him this year, that's for sure.
Honestly believe garcia ended his career that night. Beat the heart out of him. It was when he finally realised it was tough at the top level. Maidana almost done it but with the win he regrouped and came again. Prescott was put down as a one off lucky shot. Peterson there was 100 reasons in his mind. Maidana he got the win and the big acclaim for it. But garcia finally gave him the reality. Fair play to khan he showed his heart in there also that night. But think it finished him as having any serious ambition to take on the difficult fight unless its completely for a pay day. Kind of killed him as a serious contender. Should have took the brook fight and left the game Win. Lose or draw. I know people deride the guy...but hes not actually a bad kid just stupid and a bit nieve and totally deluded. I actually think hes a bit too stupid for boxing. Would love to see him get out of the sport asap. Especially without a proper team etc behind him. 10 years into the sport hes still fighting cause he wants to prove people wrong. At that level their fighting at it becomes dangerous thinking.
garcia definitely smashed the heart right out of khan and khan would never take the brook fight, he's frightened right down to his boots to fight brook and brook would batter khan
Agree with brook beating khan oiky. Dont think its quite as big a gap as people think on this forum tho. Literally giving khan no chance whatsoever. He still poses problems with that speed decent range etc. Just think when brook warms up tho khan will be clueless how to fight brook as it goes on. Because brook does have a very high level of skill. Can see khan looking lost in there after brook works him out. Although still think theres a chance khans speed/range could offset brook enough to squeeze a points win as a best case scenario for khan. Interesting clash of styles. I go about 60/40 in brooks favour...but definetely dont see it as a 3 round walkover job. Brook doesnt hit as hard as either maidana canelo or garcia who actually has a tremendous left hook that could pretty much knock anyone out. He can definetely hurt khan but khans shown before he can stay in there as long as hes not on the end of something devastating. Brooks a highly skilled fighter...think hes brilliant. But we still dont really know how highly skilled he is in terms of the very top level cause theirs only really the porter fight to go on. Great win but he hardly outclassed porter. I still say porter maybe done enough to win it. Golovkin showed hes good but because it was a bit of a mismatch it didnt really put us any further forward in determining how good he really is. I say he beats some at the top level but could lose to a few others also. Theres also still the weight issue with brook. Can he come in against khan at 147 as his best version of himself. The jurys out for me. Agree that khans frightened. Because hes been telling himself for years that brooks not on his level but deep down he knows that he is. Scared to lose to someone thats below him in his mind. Struggling to see where he goes from here. The top guys in the division pose just as much threat to him. But for much less money. People are fed up of seeing him fight the same safe opponents outside his big payday fight.
khan can definitely pose brook issues, he is very fast, but i just feel brook will be able to weather all that and work khan out, and as you say, when that happens khan will be clueless and left wanting. khan would definitely have a few rounds in the fight, and a points victory is the absolute best case scenario for him but i feel its almost inevitable that brook would catch khan and knock him out before that point, agreed brook doesn't hold the power some of khans previous opponents do but all the sh*t khan has spoke about brook in the past would cause brook to have alot of spite in his punches and he'd want to put it on khan and give it to him properly yeah khans chat about brook and ducking of him over the years has been shameful, embarassing, he's a complete messer. for me i wouldln't be bothered if khan just shut his mouth and packed it in, he's brought alot of troubles all on his own self, he's constantly contradicting himself and talking nonsense, he's never going to mix it with brook, so i don't care if i never see him box again tbh. he doesn't deserve a big payday.
Khan is extremely good early in a fight, but he gets gassed out too easily, has zero chin..........................but he sure is fast................
According to Matty hatton and Ryan Rhodes brooks does hit harder than hoe and no way Garcia hits harder than brook no fhooking way and if you think that then in don't knmow what to say
he will fight Brook or go broke...i called it ages ago that he would go skint, you cannot live his lifestyle fighting people nobody wants to see for 500k a year ... his phone has stopped ringing and he is not PPV so he will either end up being a name getting bashed up by the likes of Spence for $1 million dollars or fight Brook he thinks he is Mayweather but really he is Amir Khan who gets battered by anyone decent
Both definetely harder one punch power hitters than brook. Thats not even debatable. Brook takes you out with accuracy and accumulation. Not even worth arguing over really because its so far off the mark. Keep on believing it though. You ll see if canelo clean shots golovkin if he reacts the same way he did against brook.
Ah probably a bit out of context mate. What i was saying was...garcia was a bigger hitter at 140 when he faced khan than brook is now at 147 fighting a 147 khan. Garcia boxes mostly so doesnt really rely on the power but that left hook is a more devastating shot than anything brooks got in his arsenal. If your stupid enough to get tagged with it the endings not far away. The point was khans shown before that he can hang in there unless hes hit with something devastating. Long list of guys thats buzzed khan but the guys that have taking him out have hit him with something devastating because prescott/canelo and garcia are or we,re pretty big one punch hitters. Brooks isnt really. Its his accuracy. Timing and accumulation that does it. Was making a case for khan winning a close points win against brook as a best case scenario for him.
exactly, Garcia has average punch power MAX, and and he still wiped out Khan lol. literally anyone could destroy his Bolton glass.
