Amateur MW with a record of 190-19 Stated he will turn pro in March/April although no official announcements that I see. How good can he be in the pros? He says he plans to be Light MW or MW. He wants 6-7 fights in his first 12 months as a pro.
I think he will do well, he has had a bit of stick on this board already but think at 154-160 by the time he is a fringe level a lot of belts/division will be wide open.
I thought it was interesting how he's made it clear he wants to go pro, but hasn't yet. Probably will join matchroom like rest of team gb, but do you reckon they are delaying him turning pro due to fact that there's a handful of new team gb boxers and it's a lot for potential fans to take in at once (each won't get as much exposure), or he's just not got the offer(s) he wanted? Light middle is a tough weight class, bunch of really good fighters without huge names (Andrade, Lara etc) so would be interesting to see him there.. Middleweight will have GGG, Canelo, BJS, Lemiuex, Jacobs, Eubank Jr etc who are again, all tough fighters, but have a bigger name than some of the light middleweights!
He'll look like an absolute beast wrecking journeyman and there will be huge hype then he'll get found out when he reaches a good level imo.
he looked like a beast in 2013/2014 when he won a Commonwealth Gold medal and World Championship bronze medal. he's strangely regressed since then, I've no idea why! if he gets back to that form of 2014 he will a serious talent and serious contender, don't worry about that!
Agreed. At the Olympics he was outclassed by an opponent a level above him. I used to think he had the potential to be the next Carl Frock type fighter, however to wonder if a hard run in the amateurs has taken a bit out of him?!

Never bin too impressed by Fowler tbh Lets see how he does, maybe the pro game will suit him better But sin nothing to suggest this. Good luck to him though
Will keep an eye on Fowler I think he's definitely going to be above British level, we will see how he does @ Euro/World level if the time comes
