I see Joe Smith Jr shattering Gvozdyk/Bivol's mandibles in fight, there's too much power in that man

That being said, I think Kovalev/Ward would beat Joe, but Bivol and Gvozdyk from what I've seen aren't nearly at that level. Also, Gvozdyk's chin looks a little shaky, Bivol is pretty good but I see Joe catching him in the later rounds and knocking him into Sunday.

Joe is a good fighter, but he'll have serious trouble with Gvodyk's long range fighting. With that accurate jab constantly in his face he'll find it far more difficult to set up his punches, than with Fonfara. Smith will be in a better position, range-wise, with Bivol who has shorter reach and fights closer. On the other hands Dmitri has probably the fastest hands in the division, very high work rate and excellent accuracy and Joe will eat a lot of punches.
Bivol's somewhat lack of upper body movement and more predictable footwork, will however give Joe a better chance to catch him, than Gvozdyk. Gvozdyk vs Joe 60/40, Bivol vs Joe 55/45. I'd expect Gvozdyk to beat him on the outside and win a UD, Bivol to win with higher work rate and better accuracy again a UD, although MD is not unlikely. Can't see a KO as very likely in this one (always possible though) and Joe will be a tough opponent with a real chance of upset.

Joe Smith is awesome. His beating of Hopkins was epic.

I like Smith Jr! Not sure if he beats Gvozdyk though. But that KO of Hopkins was a thing of BEAUTY. One of my top 10 favorites! :)

Gvozdyk is all wrong for Smith Jr imo, he's too complete and would be hitting Smith at will.

Smith has a punchers chance but Gvozdyk in 6.

Smith Jr like Gvozdyk deserve a title shot.

Smith Jr. is the most dangerous LHW nowadays, don't see anyone beating him.

MVC is trolling us all again lol.

I like Smith Jr a lot, but he's not as good as either Gvozdyk or Bivol. Gvozdyk especially is too good for Smith and will destroy him from the outside. Gvozdyk is bigger, faster, hits harder, and has better technique.

I don't see Joe beating either one of these guys, Gvozdyk and Bivol are very good boxers! Bivol has A caliber skills ,he needs seasoning as a pro, Gvozdyk has a slick jab and footwork. I like Joe ,he's tough but he'd eat leather for dinner unless he lands a big punch. Boxing history sides with the polished fighter in these matches

What, getting out boxed by a senior citizen before finally catching up to him?

Joe will get beaten by Beterbiev, who is the hardest puncher in the division and I am afraid Smith (still) does not have the skills to outbox him. So it will be a fight and Joe will go down. I give him a chance against Stevenson, but needs to be very careful or it could be left counter and lights out.

This thread is just super hard and painfull to follow. I like Smith and i hope he does well but still.. Gvozdyk, Beterbiev and Bivol would all destroy him badly. Troll if u want, but explain and give us at least one reason why Smith would be competitive.

Bivol and Gvozdyk destroy Smith, they're too good and too diverse but I think Smith beats a one dimensional slow fighter, someone like Beterbiev.
