Solis. After getting clipped by Vitali in one round, he was never the same.

You are naming fighters that weren't successful amateurs and others that were world champions.
Jerry Page for example, olympic gold medalist but had an awful pro career not even close to contender, those are the fighters you should list.
Audley Harrison is a good one, Kelcie Banks was an overrated amateur, knocked out in one in the olympics and in the eyes of many he should have lost to Eddie Hopson in the qualifiers.
Jorge Luis Gonzales was another good choice.
Matvey Korobov would be there soon, the only fighter that once was the best amateur in the world but didn't won a world title.

Some thought Breland could become the greatest of all time at one point.

Many were shocked when he started loosing in his prime.

Breland had a very successful pro career. Crazy to rank him on the list at all, let alone #1.

I still think it's Howard Davis at least from the US. Over seas maybe Harrison. I'd have to do the research.

The younger members may not remember how well thought of Breland was coming up as a pro. Not the main press or casual fan, I'm talking every boxing expert had Mark ear marked for ATG status. Thus from that point he was a disappointment as most of the boxing world was shocked when he all of a sudden started loosing repeatedly.

If you weren't a boxing insider at the time you would have no clue what I am talking about.

Ok, well thats more specific, lol,

I don't think he should be number 1, I just remember how shocked boxing insiders were at the time he started loosing. Trust me, he at times was considered a unbeatable phenom. Before he lost nobody had ever got past his jab and won any significant round against him. He shut so many guys out completely the boxing insiders all jumped the gun on how he would be the goat.

Anyways, I agree overall he had a really successful career.
