Crawford doesn't seems to seek out challenges..

I'm starting to get a bit antsy myself. He could fight Garcia or Loma or move up and start taking down welters to see how far he can get through that division. Crawford is definitely one of my favorites, but the Postol victory seems like ages ago at this point.

 

You underrate Diaz. I'm fine with him fighting Diaz, then Indongo, and assuming he keeps winning then going to 147 to eventually face whoever's the man there.

 

While I can't claim to know or care much about the different promotional aspects of this issue, Pimp C has nailed the Pacquiao-Crawford issue on the head. He's absolutely right that most of us, while fans and respectful of Pac- think Crawford wins that one pretty easily at this point. it could be interesting in the sense that just not that many people have been able to beat Pacquiao clearly. Also interesting in that he can probably surprise any boxer, even at his age, if really motivated. I'm a big fan of both of these and hope we get to see Crawford up against the best competition possible- however it has to happen.

 

Pac was given 3 names to pick from and Crawford was in the 3. Pac chose someone else. Why? Maybe because his manager Freddy Roach had a front row seat when Crawford dismantled Postal. At this point in Pac's career he does not want to fight a top tier fighter. As for Crawford not "seeking out challenges" name one fighter who has put his name on a contract that Crawford has refused to fight? He went TO Scotland to beat Burns, he went to Vegas and beat Postal who people said he was "avoiding" and now he will fight Diaz in MSG.

 

If Crawford loses to Pac then you get to say "see we told you he was overrated." If Crawford wins then you say
"Well Pac was past his prime." Not much in the fight for Crawford for the haters now is there.

 

Glass Chin? He gave up 10 lbs to fight on first HBO show and completely dominated same boxer that stiffed Amir Kahn. Who has knocked him down or seriously hurt him? Don't say Gamboa because I was in the front row for that fight and he was never hurt.

 

This from the same dumb ass that said "Crawford had to resort to movement and boxing to beat Postal." He didn't "RESORT to it he UTILIZED IT. Only you and Danny Garcia's old man believe the foot movement is not part of boxing. I understand old man Garcia because he knows his kid is slower of foot than the Mummy. However a "boxing expert" like you should know if movement wasn't part of the game they would call it hitting and not boxing.

As a fan of Bud's, this is how I see it, too. I rate him highly, but that's based on how he's handled the solid, world class guys, not necessarily having that signature A+ win. There's nothing wrong with that, but being a showcase fighter for HBO and Top Rank does get you a bit extra exposure/credit on that front. There's parallels with GGG there (I say that as a fan of both).

As far as Pac goes, Arum's not going to push for that fight until he's 100% sure Bud will win it. There's way more to be gained in the long run by cashing Manny out to Crawford than there is if Manny pulls another great performance out and wins in the last stretch of his career. We won't see that fight until the conclusion is a formality not in our minds, but in Bob's mind.

 

Both Garcias know where to find Crawford and I don't see either jumping to make the fight. It is not Crawford's job to go look for them. Danny is too slow and Mikey is not big enough

crawford does seeks challenges. his career is fairly young and the diaz fight is huge. he is gonna be around for a while and he will be challenged plenty.

his upcoming fight vs diaz is no gimme. crawford can lose this fight no doubt. diaz is a gold medalist he will compete. he might even out box him with speed, accuracy, movement .

bud is no joke ill be rooting for him im not picking a winnner im just predicting a great boxing match
