What happens when AJ eats first left hook by Wlad?

AJ doesn't have the head movement to avoid Wlads big punches. He is simply too robotic.

 

It certainly is a possibility, an early KO either way would not surprise me.

 

Really looking forward to this fight, two big built heavyweights in a ring in the center of 90,000 people.

People who are calling a Joshua win (I refuse to call him AJ - marketing bollocks) and are using the Fury fight as definitive evidence are gonna be in for a big shock on the 29th. Joshua could win, but only by blasting Wlad out, and he's got six rounds tops to do it. He can't jab and move like Tyson... lol. In fact, he can't jab and he can't move, period.

I'm convinced Wlad will make it a messy jab-fest for the first half of the fight and take Joshua into the 2nd half of the fight. His greedy management have allowed their cash-cow to match-up with a ATG with a career-long experience of 12 round contests with ZERO experience of what it is like to come out for the EIGHTH round! A massive flaw in his education, that a seasoned champ will fully exploit. He just needs to get through the first five rounds and then the odds are significantly in Wlad's favour.

 

AJ will be concerned about the straight right.

 

Let's just hope the fight lives up to the expectations. Fury has massively damaged the HW division by a) delivering a stinker vs. Wlad b) then ducking 2 rematches while holding the belts hostage.

If you love the sport you want Wlad vs. AJ to deliver and be a fan-pleaser. The HW badly needs this to be good, no matter who wins.

Joshua doesn't have much of a left hand, certainly don't recall any knock down he's produced with it and his jab is pretty nondescript. I'd call it a range finder for his booming right.

 

There's a certain amount of irony someone calling an opponent of Wlad that.

 

I've been watching a lot of old Klitschko clips lately. He has really come on as a fighter; some of his fights against world class opposition were ludicrously one-sided, like Chagaev and Wach for example. I think that you are right: he's going to fight off the backfoot and lead AJ into jabs all night long, while looking for his big right. Such a simple plan should be easily beatable, right? You'd think. If Wlad has something left in the tank it could be a masterclass.
