Interesting topic. From my observations it seems America has a slightly different dynamic when it comes to racism. Most other places don't even use race to characterize groups of people. In America, once new white ethnic groups became assimilated, it eventually turned into a White against Black Dynamic, as opposed to ethnicity versus ethnicity, like it is in Europe. If you look at the ethnic strife going on in Europe over the last 20 years or so, to an outsider looking in, it looks like White people, fighting White people.

I think the " Red dawn " is at a low tide for now, but things will change with the new wave of heavyweight prospects.

 

Like the popular joke goes, if say a Croat nationalist sees a white guy and a black guy drowning both at the same time, he will save the black guy as the white guy could be a Serb.

You can replace these two nationalities with any two rival Eastern Euro nationalities and the jokes is still spot on.
