The official A Joshua vs W Klitschko prediction thread

I see the poll has shifted towards Wlad, actually to my surprise.
I'm slightly favoring Walter Klitschmann as well, but I didn't think he would become the forum favorite.

Really hope a decent, fired up Wlad turns up though and makes it a competitive fight.
Also really hope Joshua is all he is made out to be.
Would be fantastic to see Joshua put on a convincing classy performance against a tough world class fighter rather than just watching Joshua bully a hesitant Wlad who is unable to pull the trigger before knocking him out.
If its the latter it would just be like watching all of his other fights, Joshua just knocking an overwhelmed opponent around the ring at will before laying them out/stoppage.

Interesting to see how AJ's chin holds up if/when he catches a left of WK. Whyte is the only person to have hit him so far and it rocked him badly, i think it was as much a moment of panic from never being hit properly in the Pro's as much as him being hurt. Against WK he will be expecting to have his chin tested at some point so hopefully he will deal with it slightly better.

Should be a good fight, Wilder will avoid the winner like the plague however and continue to be outboxed by doormen until he lands a huge right hand out of desperation.

 

Wlad leading in the poll will counter any post fight excuses should Joshua win.

I guess the Klitschko fanboys didn't think that far ahead when they created dozens of fake accounts.

 

Iam not a big fan of vlad but I think perhaps vlad can see weakness in Joshua he is powerful but green his chin is untested in the pros and hasn't been in a long fight how will his stamina hold up? If vlad can survive the early charge it could be interesting.

 

I predict Joshua by brutal KO, Wlad doesn't have it to fight guys like this anymore.

Wladimir by 5th round KO. Even a Wladimir in decline is many levels above Joshua. Far easier fight than the Fury rematch.

 

Who knows what round it is but Wlad is going down in this one...

Im predicting Wlad in a late stoppage. Styles make fights, and Joshua's style is tailor made for Klitschko. Not much head movement, very orthodox, and I see Klitschko controlling distance with his superior jab, and clinching on the inside.

 

I predict Vlad landing a shot like the one that put Eddie Chambers and Calvin Brock in a deep sleep

I voted for AJ but stylistically this isn't bad for Wlad like Fury was. Fury is awkward and bad for a boxer-type like Wlad. I won't be surprised if Wlad get a UD here.
