No. Cotto has proved he can KO bigger men, and Alvarez has proved he can take punches from power punchers who can KO big men.

Canelo's durability is a result of excellent defense and having a good beard. I've never seen someone directly T-off on him, and the only time I saw him hurt was 7 years ago when he was a 19 year old fighter against a seasoned journeyman.

What about it? That was like about 7 years ago when he was 19 years old fighting a fully grown man who had the clear edge at the world level. If anything, it showed Canelo could take a punch and still didn't need to hold. He went on to KTFO Cotto and since has improved his defensive game greatly.

Canelo is in his prime now and has fought and beat stronger punchers, and much higher caliber opponents.
