I am sure it will be, like all the other fights the Fury camp will have been involved with agreeing on judges and ref to ensure it's all appropriate. Ideally Hughie will get knocked out and it's a non-issue but that may be easier said that done. Fingers crossed, I can imagine the tears for years from Poms if it is a close decision

After winning the purse bid and providing the 4 free economy airfares as stipulated the Fury camp moaned. Duco then said they will provide (over and above their obligations) 2 business and 2 economy seats...the Fury clan moaned. Joseph Parker has even said that the team helped with immigration to get Peter Fury into the country!

Seems that Hughie if he turns up will be against an angry Kiwi-Samoan. That is a lethal mix.

He can be as angry as he wants to be, Hughie is going to lay a Jeff lacy esque slap down on that mentally challenged kiwi.

    Joshua motto is stay humble
Parker just sounds humble because he is slow

Well it's good to hear it straight from the horses mouth. No source more credible than that.

Hughie who has a title shot doesnt seem as keen as Clubber Lang. Their whole camp seems rather casual and quiet. As Joe has mentioned, Team Parker have done a lot for them, you'd think the title and his biggest payday would be enough for Hughie but Team Fury will squeeze anything they might see as an advantage. You cant blame Team Fury for that but lets just get the fight going Hughie!!

Hard to blame a man trying to postpone what will likely be his own execution.

Why doesn't the WBO step in? Definitely should be a DQ if Fury doesn't show. And Fury should be stripped right down the rankings.

This looks like it's come back to bite you Terry. Nobody in their right mind would trust the Furys to do anything these day, they're arguably the most unreliable stable in boxing!

I'm sure the likes of @pow will still be schlurping down their latest batch of Kool-aid though so it's all good apparently.

Duco's David Higgins said the Fury camp have claimed that Hughie has picked up an injury in training and that they have given Parker the go-ahead to fight another opponent."

"Do I think Hughie is injured? No, I don't. I think it's make-believe," Higgins said.

Higgins, who described the Fury camp as "clowns", said his aim was that Parker, who arrived in Auckland from his Las Vegas base yesterday, would still fight on the scheduled date of May 6 at Auckland's Spark Arena, but that it would take some time to organise another opponent.

"We want to do the right thing by the paying public," Higgins said. "We need to show them respect and we will. We as a company need to re-group and make different arrangements and we hope to do that by tomorrow morning."

Fury's withdrawal from a fight worth $1.7million to him should have repercussions for his career. He is undefeated at the age of 22, but few reputable fight promoters are likely to want to enter into negotiations with him or his camp.
