Neither of those were gifts either.. Lol at homecooking accusations when the scores in both fights were in line with what most who scored the fight for Parker scored it. Most fans scored them for Parker anyways... Kind of funny that it's the Parker haters screaming robbery the loudest. No idea why anyone would hate Parker btw, kid is great for the sport.

This isn't a fact. You should write that you're speculating before posting or people will get the wrong idea. My speculation is that Fury is ready for Parker, but didn't want to fight in NZ due to shady scoring, and not having the power to stop Parker.

It was questionable that Fury would get a fair shake in NZ but it's still a ***** move for pulling out if that's the true reason for cancelling.

If UTF doesn't want to I'll be happy to run through a list of people the Furys have ducked out of fighting. Their reputation was being unreliable is well deserved.

Any issues should have been brought up months ago, not weeks before the actual fight.

Bottom line is that it is going to be harder for Fury to make fights (see Luiz Ortiz situation for other reasons) and without mandatory status, few would be inclined to bring him in as a voluntary. He's only 22 so he has time on his side but on the other hand, with a new crop of ex-Olympians going pro ... shots at belts might be harder to come by in a couple of years from now. As for Tyson Fury ... at the moment he maybe has to prove he can run around the block, before even thinking about going 12 rounds in a ring with a top HW.

They both now have a reputation for pulling out of fights last-minute.

    After costing promoters a fortune.

    Who will trust them now?

Frank just had the next big thing Tommy Langford get kfto and BJS looking unstable so he probably wants to get Hughie a safer passage.

Hughie beating Joe in Nz was mission impossible. Frank f'd up losing the purse bid.

You only claim it is irrelevant because it doesn't support your anti-New Zealand agenda.

Fact is only 1 of the 6 judges who judged Parker-Ruiz and Parker-Takam was a New Zealander. The other 5 were from all over the world. As were the 2 referees.

And it was the New Zealand judge who scored Parker-Takam closest for Takam.

Sorry to shoot down your conspiracy theory with the facts.

Would you have been happier if martian's had scored the fights?

"The promoters are the ones that pay and hire the judges. Judging in favor of the big promoters boxer gives you a better chance of getting invited back."

The judges for those 2 fights were from all over the world and not 1 of the 6 judges scored it against Parker. Yet you seem to be claiming they are all corrupt and that another set of corrupt judges were awaiting Hughie.

Would you have been happier if martian's had scored the fights? That's the level your argument is pitched at.

It sounds as if Peter Fury simply lost confidence in his son's abilities.

If Hughie Fury was to go to New Zealand clearly outbox Joseph Parker, get paid, and (worse possible scenario) get robbed of the decision, even that is better for moving his career forward than sitting around not fighting, not getting paid, and losing his ranking.

The possibility of hometown decisions are just part of boxing. Team Fury took that risk when Tyson fought Klitschko, and fortunately he wasn't robbed.
