That's not good enough, he was already pretty old as far as lower weights go when he fought Loma, him being 4 years older at this point doesn't necesserily mean much. I've seen nothing at all to suggest in his opposition or in his perfromances (didn't he throw something like 1.2k punches vs Martinez) that he's any worse than the version that fought Lomachenko, and I've seen pretty much all of his major fights.

If he is faded, that remains to be seen, it's not an established fact at this point.

Salido is past it, faded and shopworn. Frankly Lomachenko has no business fighting him at this point. Any attempt to make Salido into a viable opponent are laughable.

They(Loma's detractors) do not want this rematch to happen. They are already recycling the excuses....

How can he be faded or shopworn when his last three performances directly contradict that. Either you haven't seen the fights or you have some backwards logic or something. In which of his last three fights did he look like he was signficantly faded compared to how he was in his fight with Lomachenko?

Salido is absolutely a legit opponent. Even without the whole loss revenge thing he'd still be a legit opponent.

All this "faded" talk sounds like something to pre-emptively detract from Lomachenko when he inevitably under now more fair conditions proceeds to totally whoop Salido's ass.

    This.

The majority of people had Salido beating Vargas in a FOTY, and he's had time to rest since then so I'm not sure where the "shot" talk comes from. Apparently, now it's unfair that Loma has 12 rounds under his belt and the pro experience to handle Siri's dirty tactics, so the win can't count lmao. Can't win with some people, so there's no point trying to please them.

No doubt if the rematch doesn't come off, the same people ragging on it happening would be holding against Loma for not avenging it.

Where are all the people gone that claimed that Salido would whoop him "again" if there was a rematch, when it looked like it would never happen?!

The division isn't very good first of all. And the decent fighters there, Sosa, Davis, Walters, Corrales etc. Salido hasn't fought. He's fought guys like Martinez, and Vargas, that only had a title because of careful matchmaking and a thin division.

I thought he should had won too, but stop the nonsense about being his "2nd pro fight" that's bull****. How many tourneys had he fought in that were the exact same as the beginning of any hyped fighters career ??? Ill tell you what's up, he went into that fight like it was his 10th fight.

There's NO EXCUSE for any elite fighter to struggle with a salido. He was heavy and even slower than ever.
If you're truly a TOP p4p level fighter you don't go life and deaths with salido. I know he figured him out, was on t g e verge of stopping him and should absolutely gotten the decision.
That's no excuse, this 2nd fight shouldn't ever need to happen. They are separate levels, if salido fights a single round competitively he's off my p4p list entirely

So sounds like in your estimation Loma sucks,

Personally I think you are going to end up on the wrong side of history

Its impossible for salido to "price" himself out. That's such a tough and terrible loss for a Loma level fighter he should had been willing to fight him for FREE. I can't accept salido being the problem the rematch had taken so long. Loma should had been willing to give him anything to get the contract signed. That's MOO

Still solid guys, Salido's never been a top tier fighter either so it doesn't matter. He probably would never have beaten Walters or Corrales for example, we're arguing whether he's faded and guys like Martinez and Vargas are a good enough test for that, he did really well against both. Vargas especially was quite highly rated at the time Salido fought him.
