Maybe Herbie Hide's inside 1 minute record can finally be broken. That was a WBO titlefight too.

 

I'm still blaming Tyson Fury.

Say what you want about Wlad, but him unifying the division was much better than these garbage fights. Still unproven Parker being world champion and defending against Hughie Fury was bad enough. This fight just takes the cake.

Such a weak division with no unified champions will spin up these fights again and again. Please god Parker vs Wilder next so we can at least halve these joke 'world title' defenses for a while.

 

If this fight happens, Parker KO's Cojanu in 1. Cojanu is awful, hopefully Parker's team changes the opponent.

I don't know what you people expect. 2 weeks from the fight Parker's opponent pulls out, it's not like you have world class heavyweights in shape on stand by 365 days a year in case things like this happen.

Yeah it sucks but what can Parker do. This happened to Joshua as well and he had to fight Molina instead of Wlad when Wlad was injured last year but Parker has even less time to find an opponent.

 

Cojanu is a beast.

He's so scary no one wants to talk about him.

Duco were limited to someone who was WBO top 15, currently in training and able to jump straight on a plane. Didn't leave them many options.

Plus Parker had spent his entire camp training for a tall opponent.

Zhang is tall and currently in training. I would have chosen him over Raj. Don't know if Zhang would be accepted though.

 

It has been reported Zhang has other priorities at the moment, and you are right, he probably would not have accepted.

The reality is team Parker had about a choice of one.

If I were in Parker's team, I'd try to get Rudenko or Kabayel, or if we talk about tall opponents, then Breaseale or Zhang.

But as far as I know Rudenko has rejected Parker's offer

 

I almost would rather a not wbo rated guy in a non title fight for a better fight

 

Its not Hammer's fault he's no2. Blame David Price. His team, I do not know how, set up a fight for high place ranking on the WBO and choose Hammer because he was ranked and featherfisted. I guess not featherfisted enough for Price lol

Cojanu is a terrible fight for Parker, but its only less than 2 weeks before the fight...so, it is what it is
