Cojano IS better than Hughie Fury if he goes through with the fight. Fury chickened out claiming "injury" I heard that from now on anyone that bails out last minute will be called for 'Pulling a Fury " ROFL

Dude, there is no excuse for lining up this bum and marketing it as a title fight. I'll guess they are paying him Wilder level peanuts is the real reason it's not going to be another guy on that list. WBO are a joke anyway.

It was marketed as a title fight up til now because Fury was the mandatory.

When Fury pulled out the WBO instructed Parker to get another WBO top 15 opponent and that it was still to be a WBO title fight.

Do you even read the news?

I'm aware of these facts, but you seem unaware that this is one of the worst title fights in hw history.

Yea thats right, but Stiverne was told on Tuesday that they got a replacement in case " something happens and he dont want to fight anymore" . At that moment he didnt know what they we're talking about. The official news came very late, but of course the Russians we're informed about the failed test from the get-go

You seem to be unaware why Parker's team had the choice only one possibly two opponents for May 6th, and Cojanu was virtually it.

You taking the date as the failed test doesn't make sense, Stiverne didn't officially pull out until the day of the fight - 17th Dec.

I wish both fighters good luck & hope the fight is a success. Someone here claimed it is a back problem with Fury. He's suffering from the same disease as affected Floyd Mayweather & Canelo Alvarez, It called

And I'm not buying it. The worst guy on the list, an E class bum, just happens to be their sparring partner and gets the gig. All these other guys with no fight lined up were approached? So far all I'm hearing is the name Breazeale. They could've made it a non title defence and chose anybody.

Peter Fury was quoted as saying "it is like Hughie has a toothache in his back."

As if this phantom 'injury' didn't sound like a big enough charade already.

Anyway, we know the fight is now on very short notice. That Parker had a choice of about one or two opponents for May 6th and Cojanu is the opponent. I'll let the whingers whinge. But that is the reality.

Look bro, I'm just telling you what Stiverne told reporters when he got home.
When was the failed test ? Not one day before the fight. Thats when the WBC took the decision to cancel the fight

And I'm just telling you Duhaupas had one days notice. Which is fact. The guy did not even have his full fight gear on the plane.

Hughes pulled out, what a s*** bag, seems both Fureys have it in em?
Instead of looking at it as a chance to beat the man of the moment in the HW division I rather suspect they thought with his limited power they were unlikely to win over there.

Postponements can also be damaging mentally and a break can be a good thing. Parker has been in camp for a long time. Parker doesn't NEED to fight. It's not a necessity. Like I said previously if Duco refund everyone who is not interested in going to this then I'm fine with them putting it on. I also think that team Parker going ahead with a May 6th fight that could potentially derail a unification fight in July should be seen as a duck.
