The weight excuse is his golden ticket, no man can lose 40lbs of muscle LOL

What will you say if it does happen?

Maybe, considering he fought his last fight at 160, and hasn't fought in 7-8 months since. But i honestly don't think he's going to miss weight. If it's a half a pound over, I don't see a big deal with that.

If Brook misses weight and wins, I say ok he obviously had an unfair advantage he should be fined and should move up to 154

He won't lose just muscle, this isn't anything remotely close to Roy Jones Jr' case. At the press conference he looked to be close to his weight, though I don't exactly know what he was weighing at that time.

According to that bloke on TBV he has numerous sources across the pond

drenlou will you think its acceptable?

Roy jones weighed 193lbs vs John Ruiz and had his next fight @ 175, ffs that is really quite pathetic seeing as he would have weighed minimum mid 180's @ 175

Depends on how much he misses it by. If it's half a pound, sure it's unprofessional and deserving of criticism, but it's not a big deal. If he comes in three pounds overweight then he won't get a pass from me.

Same as any other fighter. If they honestly try to make weight and only come in slightly over, I am hesitant to criticize. If it's a unethical attempt to get an advantage, then I will be unhappy about that.

For another example, Liam Smith missed weight a few weeks ago, most people gave him a pass because it seemed like an honest mistake rather than trying to gain an unfair advantage.

Maybe half a pound would be acceptable. Either burn it, or turn it into more $$$ for spence Jr.

Were you not strolling this forum when Smith was getting slaughtered for missing weight, that would have been my prime example of a fighter getting bashed for missing weight.

What if Spence says F you and refuses to fight? Who would take the heat Spence or the clearly cheating Brook?

Lol, I don't think spence would trip off half a pound. I think he'd gladly take a few extra $$$...

I was very unhappy about the way that fight ended, but didn't care much about the weight issue. I saw a few mild criticisms before the fight, the forum only exploded after the fight in my recollection.
