Prime Miguel Cotto vs Shawn Porter

Porter is tough but I believe cottos technical fighting will get him a win but that is a great matchup

 

Any version of Cotto yet known beats Porter.

 

Cotto can pick shots and box off his back foot, a whole arsenal of punches, would pick porter off and hurt him

 

Cotto, and probably by knockout.

 

Cotto could outbox Porter no question, but is Cotto physical enough to beat Porter who'd be mauling him on the inside? I think it'd be a close fight, 60/40 in Cotto's favor.

 

Me too, feel cotto would have a great chance at a stoppage too

 

With fair judging, Porter wins. Cotto is vastly over rated.

Assuming Prime Cotto is 147 right, if so I think he would time Porter with enough heat and frequency to take it on points. Porter takes a step back when he gets clipped good, I've seen it enough to think Miguel could do it

If the ghost of Cotto can last 12 rounds with light heavyweight Canelo I think the prime version can stay strong against Porter's mauling antics.

Cotto is my favourite fighter to watch. Yes he has vulnerabilities but at his peak he was magnificent.

 

Cotto better fighter than Porter who is somewhat limited.

 

One of my personal favourites too. I hate when morons on here call him "coward" considering the man has shown the heart of a lion and is a superbly skilled boxer. Technically, Cotto is everything Porter isn't and I would be confident in a competitive but clear decision going his way.

People seem to forget that Broner knocked Porter down and had him in trouble. Cotto would take Porter apart.
