Doesn't matter. They're responsible for their blood/urine. Can't play the dog ate my homework card. Just ask Alberto Contador about his steaks in Spain and how many TdF's they stripped him of.

What's hilarious is how long they dragged this mess out lol. We'll find some excuse... two years later rofl.

I agree. How is this still going on? How has there not even been a hearing yet? Should have been dealt with last year.

    UKAD will decide on it.
    We can only guess.
I think if they presented the case properly they'd get off or a very reduced sanction. But I don't know.

I'm not sure why the thing has dragged on so long. That might actually indicate that they've been presenting a strong case.

I'm not saying I believe them. But these things are decided on a case-by-case basis and a good defence case can get people off. Doesn't really matter what all of us believe to be true or not.

I eat a lot of meat including pig, I wonder if I'd test positive for a PED that I didn't know about.

It just happened to happen to the Furys. I mean what are the chances that a number of athletes, including Povetkin, just happened to eat contaminated food. I realise it's very possible but the drugs in these animals just happen to improve sports performance and the Furys just happened to eat them.

    Actually, they don't.

The case is in front of the NADP, they are the ones who decide. UKAD are there just to put their case against the Furys'.

    I like Fury.
Not sure what that has to do with my post though.
I'm saying they might get away with that "pig meat" excuse. Regardless or whether I loved/hated Fury that's an opinion based on the known facts so far.

Honestly, I couldn't care less whether he's found guilty or not on a PED charge. I think they probably take PEDs and I think they will probably fight again sooner or later anyway. No one important really cares about PEDs, it's an inconvenience perhaps. You get caught, you get a suspension, you come back. It happens all the time.

It has to be uncastrated male pig. If you eat that stuff often, yeah, you might test positive for nandrolone.

What are the chances ? we don't really know. It's probably has happened to genuine 'innocent' athletes, and perhaps even they never knew how that happened. Almost every athlete who tests positive protests their innocence. So we can't say for sure. I assume most of them are liars. But since we don't test everyone (non-athletes) we can't really say how easy it is to consume something to make us test positive. How much food is 'contaminated' or likely to set off test positives ? I have no idea.
Since most of us aren't expert scientists on the subject we can't really say how reliable the testing procedure is either. People tend to take all this on faith. The testing agencies are given a lot of power. We can't really judge how likely they are to mess things up. I'm pretty sure it's less likely than the likelihood of 90% of athletes finding ways to get away with taking drugs though.

So this basically is such an outlandish excuse, and used only because that's one of the few explainations that makes the presence possible, that we now can all safely assume that they were both juicing.

How many other top UK athletes consume hedgehogs and uncut boar's guts?
The Queen must be on this as well.
