I don't think the roids argument can be used against Pacquiao, he probably took them at some point but nobody saying that can ignore how Marquez looked before fights 3 & 4 considering who he had in his team as well.
The 1rst one showed they were meant to make historic fights together and great things to come. Marquez was in his prime, but each time he got dropped, he kept adjusting and it was obvious he hadn't fought anyone like Pacman before. NO ONE HAD! The 2nd fight by then Pacman already knew Manilla Ice and he was a more complete fighter, Imo that was the best Manny Pacquiao, not the 2009 one because he was closer to his natural weight. In the rematch, I think Pacquiao has the best claim that he beat Jmm. He countered the counterpuncher at times, Pacquiao was spot on that night and most likely the knockdown was the difference, tho it was still very close, I'll give Pacquiao the benefit of the doubt. By the time the rubber match came around, Pacman was hyped to astronomical limits and was a media darling, bad thing was he himself started believing his own hype and thought if he destroyed DLH, Hatton, and Cotto at this point, he surely should have no problem with Jmm this time. Jmm brought him down back to earth and gave him a reality check, but in a way was doing him a favor. The 3rd fight was very tactical and it proved Pacquiao had not really improved that much as many thought he did. No knockdowns, but by this point, Marquez seemed to be hitting just as hard as Pacquiao, if not harder, and he seemed to have the cleaner shots. Once again, most thought he won, but was denied a decision victory FOR THE 3RD TIME! The 4th I was surprised Manny took it as Marquez took his aura of invincibility away in the 3rd fight and possibly put Pacquiao's megafight with Mayweather in jeopardy. In this fight, Jmm looked very lethargic, wasn't throwing combinations as he's known too, and Pacman was actually winning rounds clearly. When the 1rst knockdown came... You knew this one was going to be special! When Jmm dropped Manny, the boxing world's heart skipped a beat and gasped because no one had done that to him, at least not during this era. You could tell Jmm was going for broke, even changing his style abit, and try to land bombs on Manny. Manny was Manny and knew he was the younger, fresher fighter, only a matter of time before he'd make Jmm succumb. But the hunter became the hunted and it ended one of the greatest rivalries EVER. Action-wise 4th obviously the best, but you want to see Jmm and Manny in their primes, watch 2. A great tactical fight, watch 3. A young, berserker, one handed Pacquiao vs a calculated, gritty, cerebral assassin Marquez. To me it literally looked like Manny was a bull and Marquez was a bullfighter in a ring. They both helped boxing with these classics when it needed it the most.
JMM looked lethargic? A lethargic fighter does not produce a KD and KO against Manny. JMM actually said that he was fast in that fight, and I thought he was as well. And JMM wasn't going for broke... Manny was. And that's what got him KO'd. Manny tried to get one more shot in and got lazy. The roids and doping allowed JMM to retain his power and stamina even as Manny laid on a beating and broke his face. JMM was on his way out (Memo even said this). If Manny had taken a step in a different direction, the round would have ended and it most likely would have been a 7th or 8th round TKO (Nacho throws in the towel).
It's pieces of **** like you that make me love replaying that KO of all KOs over and over Youre drug cheat hero got beat at his own game by his Daddy Are you Popkins btw, *******?
LOL! I watch the fight all the time. I love it. But you replaying it over and over is ******ed because it's like flossing a fake ass Rolex. That KO was tainted because JMM had enough steroids in him to turn every single Dominican baseball player into a home run king. But cheating is never rewarded, which is why Pacquiao is still elite, still active, while all the doping that JMM did has caught up with him and dude's been trying for 3 years to come back. Serves that disgusting cheating POS right. The KO doesn't define his career. Roids does. But continue popping and sucking the ooze out of his bacne!
That's a quality post mate I'd say in the the 4th Manny countered the counterpuncher. His feinting was top notch, and put Marquez on the end of many hard shots Juan had slowed by this point in his career. Being 42 and with added muscle as he was going hell for bent on the KO It was a rivalry for the ages, which ended with one of the most devastating KOs ever seen We were damn lucky to have witnessed it
Marquez defeated a fighter like Pacquiao with TIMING. And yes, he did look slower compared to his past fights.
He wasn't as fast as in his prime, but he wasn't slow. He was still a fast puncher. Watch the Alvarado fight. JMM was ripping 5-7 punches combinations with blazing speed all night.
Always makes me laugh when a ******* accuses another boxer of doping Look at how sluggish and pathetic Manny looked against Floyd and in JMM3. No drugs and Manny would have been at best a strong gatekeeper, flattened by the likes of Dinamita and Lacyed by the likes of Mayweather
Manny could have doped, but there isn't overwhelming circumstantial evidence like there is with Roidquez (Memo Heredia, new body, new power, massive amount of chest pimples, bacne) or Roidweather (paying USADA out of pocket, T/E ratios of a 108 year old man, IV fluids). JMM went as far as drinking **** for a competitive advantage... and you're shocked that he's a roid addict? Both guys needed drugs to beat Pac. This is a fact.
First one. That fight was incredible. Both men hit the bigtime the same time in the same fight. I was so excited for the rematch then...god damn, Marquez wanders off and gets sniped by Chris John.
Cant remember the exact details but Marquez was being offered something like a 10/90 split on the rematch Disgusting tactics by Team Pooch as per norm
Manny was a career dope cheat. Either that or he really was Superman Marquez doped for Manny IV Floyd i dont know i never followed the guy, but with the IV thing then its pretty certain he doped for that fight
