And does that mean he lost in his two biggest fights?

    Discuss?

    Fury was, AJ perhaps not.

I'm not convinced AJ is better than prime Pulev or Povetkin.

    No.

Wlad is 41 and it's his 69th fight.

Povetkin and Haye are the other 2 that would be on the list. So yes, probably.

Its like saying was Holmes the best opponent Ali faced and he get a hiding from him?

Even if they are this clearly isn't the best version of Wlad so it doesn't really effect his legacy in the long run

I'm interested to know who you think his two best opponents were then? Not bashing, just want to know opinion.

He was 40+ in both fights. It doesn't affect his ATG status. That's like giving Zaggers credit for beating Roy Jones Jr. Not saying Wlad was that shot, but he wasn't the same as he was in the prime. It's not Wlad's fault his era was complete ****, and if he destroyed Fury and Joshua we'd act like they were nothing.

But seriously how many boxers coming off like a 10+ year reign would fight 2 hungry lions in their prime like Fury, and Joshua when they were 40. Floyd didn't fight Spence(I don't mention Thurman and Brook cause those styles are tailor made for him and would be easy work), Pac isn't fighting all of these guys. Maybe he felt like he had more to prove because unlike Pac/Floyd during his prime years there weren't guys at that level of Pac/Floyd opposition, but still you can't have anything but tremendous respect for him.

Why's everyone forgetting Ibragimov? Horrible fight, yes, but Sultan was a great fighter in his day.

Femi is several levels below Fury.

At 41 Klitschko looked the faster, quicker, better conditioned man. God what a still. Fury would easily outbox Femi worse than he did Klitschko.

I'm not sure. fury to me hurt his rep long term by imploding almost like Douglas dud by being fat vs evander hard to say if he was a fluke

Joshua may turn out to be greater but I think he could lose to a few of wlad opponents

I'm not sure Sanders beats any version of post Manny Steward Wlad.

I think they CAN be the best, but only time will tell.

AJ has better prospects than Fury with his clean lifestyle. Maybe Fury will never come back to the ring

    GTFOOH

Only a hater would say a man who has been undisputed champion for 10 years, had his two biggest fights in his last 2 fights that he lost.... when he was past it

And trust me, AJ gets laid out in the future. We saw what Nistor did to him in the Ams, and we know it will happen again....as AJ comes to fight.

Then people can start saying that AJs losses were his biggest fights too.

    That's how life works.
