Boxing needs AJ to cross the pond into America. If he beats Wilder in America or the U.K. I'll give him props to no end. If Joshua fights Fury I won't be too hard on him since Fury is the lineal champion. But if he doesn't fight Wilder within 2 fights imma **** on him. And if Parker beats the bum that he's fighting Wilder must make that fight. As of right now **** Pulev and Fury lol...
Funny thing is that no-one mentions Ortiz who is probably the best out of all these guys. Poor fat ******* can't get a fight. No wonder he eats so much.
Any fight between Wilder, Joshua, Wlad, or Fury is must-see TV for me. The other guys are a notch below that as far as my interest goes. There are good fights to be made within that group, but not of the level of the top 4.
Well said. Let those 2nd tier guys battle it out while the top 4 battle it out. And who ever is deserving then make the fight.
Dude I think then onus is on Wilder to secure big fights and not AJ. AJ/Wlad/Fury have all had huge fights and Wilder has not. It's time Wilder steps up and challenges either Joshua, Klitschko or Parker. He needs to issue an ultimatum to his promoter that only these 3 fights are acceptable.
Honestly, listening to Deontay I do believe he wants the big fights. But someone in his team, I'm guessing the manager who said Washington was too strong an opponent for his taste, clearly doesn't ...
Which is another reason to respect Wlad and AJ for making this fight happen. For too long boxing and the HW division has seen ducking become the greatest form of defense. Wilder fighting bums for how long. At least we had 2 legitimate top 5 heavyweights willing to fight. Let's see more of this. If the Furys want to keep screwing the division just **** them off and make the fights. Make all of these guys fight each other: Joshua Parker Wilder Klitschko Ortiz T. Fury (his midget twin can FO after what he did to Parker).
Don't worry. Wilder came to the U.K. looking for a fight and he will get one. AJ and Fury have had 1 big fight. Wilder is a contract away from getting one.
Missed the fight tonight lads How did the skill level on display compare with the likes of Golovkin or Lomachenko?
Wonderful fight tonight. Just what the division needed. Wlad goes down fighting. Joshua gets off the floor to win. The crowd was amazing. The production was great. Excellent job all around. I think Joshua should stay in the UK and have the world come to him. I love the atmosphere. I think everyone on earth is sick of watching boxing in stale Vegas casino ballrooms, where the half-interested "comped" crowd doesn't show up until a couple minutes before the main event starts. That crowd in Wembley was great. I also enjoy watching boxing on Saturday afternoon (in the States) and not having to pay PPV to watch it (I have Showtime and HBO). I also like how Showtime showed it live (in the U.S.) and HBO will air it later tonight (the TV networks playing nice). Joshua looks to be the best heavyweight in the world. Wilder would have a puncher's chance, because Wilder can knock out anyone (if his hand isn't broken) ... but Joshua looks like he can knock out just about anyone, too. Great night for the sport. Wlad delivered one of his most entertaining fights. He should go out on this note. (I know greats don't like to leave with a loss, but he's now got two in a row.) And Joshua is what the heavyweight division has needed for years ... a charismatic monster puncher who is always going to go for the KO win ... not a safe decision. Wilder's the second-best at the moment ... but he needs to fight Joshua very soon. Because Joshua is going to get better before he gets worse. But Deontay does have the one-punch power to win at any time. I just think Joshua is a little better at everything ... and will only get better. I'd love to see Wilder beat Parker and unify against Joshua this fall in the UK for all the marbles. (Parker seems to be a full level below Joshua, Wilder, Wlad, etc. I'm not really impressed with him.)
Well, HW boxing is a bit less about than skills than the lower weights and more about power etc. But anyway, to answer your question as best I can: Lomachenko: has always been more skillful than either, in fact he's clearly the most skillful fighter in the world at the moment. No comparison/ GGG: is still better skillwise than anything we saw tonight but Joshua can definitely improve and prime Wlad was technically superb as well. GGG is about two levels below Loma at the moment though IMHO. One because he's been wading through too many opponents to KO them and sort-of forgot how to box at his very top level; two because he's getting a bit old and isn't as fast as he used to be; and three because Loma has always been more talented skill-wise.
You didn't miss the fights. Wlad lost and you're pissed loser. Foh lol. These were heavyweights. Stop lying to us, you saw the fight lol..!
Did you miss every other fight in the history of boxing? Comparing the punch output, movement, speed and general skill between a 250 pound man Vs a 130 pound man is comparing apples with oranges. If Lomachenko fought a HW it would be like a person trying to swat an annoying fly. When the person lands the fly is dead. GGG would be like a rabbit. It might bite back but a punch in the nose puts it in a world of pain. Lomachenko throws combinations flowing down and up comprising up to 6 punches. GGG is more of a headhunter who throws single punches or sometimes 3 punch combinations. Wlad and AJ were throwing predominantly jabs. Sometimes but not frequently they followed the jab with the straight right and threw left hooks or uppercuts and other punches in single shots. Even when they had each other hurt they were throwing single shots one after the other more than combinations. Loma is one of the most skilled boxers of the past 30 years. Skills that HWs do not and physically can not possess.
