Firstly well done both fighters ..... great fight ..... does anyone else think AJs recovery was incredible. He went from dropped/exhausted then dead on feet to having more energy than he did in first round !!!!! Just me or anyone else ?

Great great fight. I think joshua loses in the next three or four fights. But at this minute hes the favourite against anyone including fury. Even the best version of fury. Furys the best heavyweight in the world...but it only takes a second against aj. The smart moneys on joshua against anyone. Biggest cheat in the world...but atm the man to beat. Klitchko exposed him to an extent but no one outside wlad can push him that far. Fury wont keep him off for 12.

Completely agree. Every single knowledgeable boxing fan including myself claimed that stamina will go. Too musclebound.

We ve been watching boxing for years. A lot of us been involved for years. All proved wrong.

Apparently you can carry that much muscle and stamina recovers in the 11th round as good as the first...after a long battle. Its either a miracle or sports science the way forward.

Everyone is on gear, so who cares, IF he is , credit to his strength and conditioning coach, all about getting that edge, if you know your opponent is juiced out of his head are you just going to take the moral high ground?

Lets get it clear tho...these guys can kill someone in the ring. People are talking about cheating at cycling or sprinting. Disgraceful...but in a contact sport its a different ball game. If your caught cheating...it genuinely should be jail time. No excuses. Tbf its up to the drug agencies to control it. They ve lost control...but lets be clear genetics or not...joshua is not a clean fighter. If that does eventually get exposed...that olympic team and everyone involved should be finished with the sport.

I understand the risks and realise it's different from other sports, but if you chose a career where there is a high possibility you will face an opponent who is using a banned substance to gain an unfair advantage, do you choose to abstain or join the party?

Don't want to sound blasè about such things, but if it's part and parcel of the game, more fool the fighter who chooses to stay clean.

The problem stands with the drug agencys...if they cant keep on top of it....if they know people are cheating and cant stop it. They need to step aside. Disgraceful. As far as i can see people are openly cheating. If they cant step up its time to step down and let someone else do it. I actually agree with you to an extent if i was in that position i ll be honest i would cheat.

But these agencys need to be investigated...if their not up to the job...step down. Because almost everyone knows at least one of them fighters tonites not playing fair. If your average man can tell you that....and you cant stop it...your wasting your time.

My moneys on joshua being one of the biggest cheats of all time. Thats not genetics....if you cant catch that. Its time for someone else to do it.

For one i ve seen joshuas mum and dad...not exactly cyborgs...must be getting his genetics from his gran and grandad.

I am still unsure what to think, I have to digest it and maybe rewatch it.

I am thinking.. was Klitschko better than we've seen him in years? or is Joshua not as good as some say and made Klitschko look far better than he is?

Maybe somewhere in the middle.. maybe I shouldn't be looking at it like that and just remember it for what it was and that was a very entertaining fight.

I really enjoyed the fight, credit to both of them because I didn't see that sort of fight coming and it was very entertaining and edge of your seat stuff at times.

That was really good fight, I enjoyed that a lot. I was convinced Klitschko would spark him and betted accordingly.
I thought he was done in the 5th despite knocking Klitschko down. He showed an incredible amount of character and deserves respect. He's got a lot to learn but that's the real start of his legacy, well done.

I agree it should be a clean sport, but like you say if we the public can see it how can these drug agencies not.

The agencies are aware of commercial interests, stars of sports are protected, they make money, in turn so do the drug agencies, drug abuse and corruption go hand in hand. This false sense of outrage many fans have at drug abuse is laughable imo seeing as its endemic generally across the board in all sports.

Athletes are there to entertain us, do I want to be robbed of not seeing a midget like Pacquiao moving up the weights like nobodies business and taking out bigger guys in spectacular fashion? no, I enjoy seeing a freak of nature.

So I can't take anything away from Joshua, he's clean as he has passed every test till date ;)

Thank you for replying mate ....
That recovery was not humanly possible surely - was expecting wk to say something to that extent in post fight interview. Reading later posts - maybe everyone is really cheating then - including WK - Bad/wrong/dangerous/ though !

Seriously, this cheating nonsense needs to stop.

That recovery was all down to the hard work put in in the gym. And he wasn't as fresh as the first, he had to dig deep.

    Should be commended not questioned...

Agreed, there should be no cheating talk unless there is a failed drug test, it's just not fair

And just because Joshua was dropped does not mean there's weaknesses, it happens in elite sport

No one says the Wimbledon champion isn't deserving if they drop a set during the tournament !

This fight elevated both boxers , UK boxing and boxing as a whole. Win win win win for everyone

Not particularly, a consequence of his youth and nothing more.
