I'm seeing a lot of comments on social media saying that this was Klitschkos best performance in 5 years and that this Klitschko would've beaten Tyson fury and blah de blah de blah blah he wasn't motivated for the fury fight.

I think that is a load of absolute BS.

But do you think it could be true. Maybe Klitschko at that time was having issues outside of boxing which may have affected him so wasn't fully focused on fury or is it that Fury just beats any version of a 40-41 year old Klitschko no matter what.

Nope, same result. Styles makes fights. Wlad is made to order for Fury. Only hope for him is a lucky punch

Wladimir made a very good account of himself tonight and almost got Joshua out of there. But he still at this advanced age of 41 would be outboxed by Fury I believe.

30-35 year old Wlad beats them both :)

People are praising wlad because he didn't bore them into a nap. He was fun to watch and probably gained a bunch of fans with that showing; sad it's probably the end of his career.

He looked very good, but Tysons movement will always bug wlad. Who knows.

Well, maybe Wlad after the first KD could've. I mean, he had that "eh, what the hell, war it is then" moment when he got up, pushed Joshua back & didn't let go until AJ went down in the next round. Kind of what he tried to do in the last round against Fury, way too late and still a crappy attempt. Otherwise, I don't think so. Improvement in speed and movement means squat if you're not able to switch gears and take it to your opponent or at least not lose your **** when attacked. Fury would simply move around and keep taping Wlad's reset button with silly punches like he did first time around.

    Looked the same to me.

Lead left hooks MISSING ALL NIGHT LONG
    Can't fight inside
Likes to clinch - AJ could shake him off though
    1,2 all night long

Very limited punch diversity. Can see them left hooks from a mile away. Fury would do a job on any version of him.

Which SUPERHEAVYWEIGHTS has Wladamir beaten? Wach? Thompson? LMAO.

Joshua would have been one of his best victories had the KO come in round 6.

    - This wlad wouldnt necessarily show up against Fury though, imo. Granted, Im sure in a rematch Wlad would try hard to throw more punches but hes someone that desperatly needs a target to throw at. Joshua was always going to be more hittable and provide an easier target than Fury. So I question, despite Wlads mentality, if he would actually be able to let his hands go when Fury is simply not providing him with the open targets he needs to do so.

Having prefaced with that, yes... I do think this wlad does better and maybe beats Fury in a rematch. I think Wlad was expecting an easy night out against Fury, this wlad was a man possessed mentality wise.... seemed to have a completely different mindset (which again, doesnt necessarily mean it would translate into results). Does he do better? Almost certainly. Win? Im just not sure on that.

Wlad danced like Ali tonight for nearly 11 full rounds and unloaded some TNT. I think he would have KO'd Fury tonight.

I think this Klitscho would have beaten Fury. He looked in shape, he was up on his toes boxing, he would have given Fury a boxing clinic.

Wlad was a year and a half older.

Fury would've destroyed him harder than ever.

I think Fury was Wlads bogey fighter, whenever he fought him i think he would struggle, Ali had Norton i think Wlads was Fury.

There would have been no difference whatsoever.

What happened in Dusseldorf was due to a clash of styles and Wlad's mindset.

Most of the people talking are uneducated casuals.

If you had a time machine and you transported last nights version of Wlad, and you put him in the ring in Dusseldorf, he would still have been extremely cautious, with an extremely low out put due to Tyson's feints etc. It was just a completely different match up stylistically.

AJ claiming that he fought the better version of Wlad is just an insult to Tyson. People have got to realise that Tyson made him look bad. Tyson psyched him out before the fight, Tyson made him hesitant, and Tyson made him look old and past it.

All I want to see now, is for Tyson to get himself back in shape, both physically and mentally, so we can see him fight AJ. I'm going to take great delight in watching thousands of people scratching their heads, looking totally bewildered, trying to figure out why AJ was unable to blast him out. Bring it on.

I don't know about that, but I am pretty sure that this 41 year old Wlad would have beaten the Wlad who showed up against Fury.

Why do you think that though?

Those early knockout defeats have had a huge effect on him psychologically.

    He's psychologically scarred.

Being 35 would have made no difference whatsoever.

The best chance would have been when he was younger. Because although he was more vulnerable back then, he was also a lot more aggressive and dangerous.
