Pacquiao was supposed to fail at any weight higher than 126 pounds

To be fair there are other reasons to use an IV post weigh-in. It helps the dehydration by getting fluids directly back in your system rather than having the water be digested. It was a common practice in MMA before they implemented USADA testing. Several fighters had to change weight class after they were banned, most notably former welterweight champion Johnny Hendricks. I'm not saying Floyd didn't juice but there are other reasons to use an IV.

Totally agree about Floyd being noticeably bigger than Pac in terms of reach and the like but at the start of his career Pacquaio was literally fighting for his food. It makes sense that someone who was malnourished as a child but could eat well as an adult would put on weight much better than a guy like Floyd who's father had been a well established boxing star.

Pac is greater but Floyd was better. Just my 2 cents.

He knew it was illegal to do so and the other way around it would have been acted upon,no excuse for it whatsoever.

As for him being better,id say its a matter of opinion, but if that was the case, then why did floyd refuse point blank for over 6 years to fight him near to his prime.
Also, floyd refused to fight certain fighters he thought would be bad stylistically, margarito, williams, cotto for a few years, skipped over tszyu and a couple of others,he always fought on his terms and with all his demands in place and always fought in his home town.

Pac was under dog in numerous fights, wasnt a diva with his demands, never fought at home, never ducked anyone over more weight classes,as always the smaller fighter in his prime and was fighting easily 2 weights above the weight he could easily make
And their common oponents, pac obliterated dlh (although at a lower weight, but everyone said it was suicide for pac going in)
Hatton was brutally disposed of in 2 rounds not for 1 second of the fight looking competitive, floyd won comfortably but nowhere near as impressive and pac beat him in his natural weight.
Cotto was destroyed and ko'd by pac
Floyd won a close ish decision
Floyd beat marquez jumping up 2 divisions to fight him and still come in 2 pounds over himself
Pac fought tooth and nail with him 4 times coming out on top overall but floyd did better with all the advantages he had, still were greatness comes into it,pac didnt duck someone he knew he would have problems with.
Pac destroyed margo who floyd clearly wanted no part of.
The only challenges he had at ww were cotto and a cherry pick gone wrong in maidana twice.
Your entitled to your opinion and floyd is no doubt super talented but the amount of smoke and mirrors around his greatness and legendary status have got to go against him,if he wanted to be called the best ever he should have proved it beyond doubt and fought yhe fights people wanted to see,pac on the other hand fought absolutely everybody and has cast in stone how good he is and without any what ifs

Pacquiao should be using his final few fights to add to his already incredible legacy. No disrespect intended to Jeff Horn but Manny could pick and choose any number of opponents to enhance his all time standing rather than taking on a virtual unknown. Imagine how much a win over Thurman, Crawford, even Porter would mean if he could manage it, even Khan or Broner at least have name recognition and the latter 2 are very winnable fights. I realise people accept he has earned the right to take soft touches at this stage, I just wish he was more his own man and legacy driven rather than dancing to the tune of Arum and ending his career fighting whatever Top Rank fighter could use a payday.

A win over any of the names about today would be a drop in the ocean to his legacy.but agreed horn is pointless.

For those who haven't seen Pacquiao's other fight at 126 pounds. Against 3K battery who was ranked #4 in the world. And Pacquiao slaps him around like a 12 year old. The guy was just an absolute beast at Featherweight because as you can see it's his natural weight class and he's not giving up size. Manny was a true banger at the weight.

Floyd didn't "refuse point blank to fight pacquiao"....floyd said: "i'll fight pacquiao if pacquaio agrees to get tested for PEDs"...it was PACQUIAO who refused to fight because he didn't want to get tested.... for SIX years...wanna guess why?

You sound like a biased moron. Why are you trying to bring up a discussion thats been beat to death and completely irrelevant now? You dont have many posts but i suspect youve been here for awhile and should know better but in case you dont. Nobody who is a non biased boxing fan with half a brain is going to waste another minute going back and forth with someone on whos to blame for the floyd/pac fiasco. last time ill respond to you as a i have a no troll policy.

Once again, you choose to ignore the facts and instead promote blatant and well-known lies and misrepresentations. Freddie Roach himself admitted that his camp was responsible for delaying the fight because they didn't want to be tested for PEDs. you're arguing more for pac than roach is, and roach is paid to be advocate for pac...so, who's the real moron here?

It's still crazy to think about what he's achieved. To put it into perspective, imagine p4p fighter roman gonzales becoming a WW champ, or even rigondeaux.

And for people saying he's naturally that big, nobody naturally has to eat 8k calories a day to maintain weight. And how many Filipinos do you guys know at WW or above?

His natural weight is FW-LW, let's not forget it was the oscar fight that made him move up to WW else he would probably still be campaigning at LW.

The closest thing to what he's done recently is Duran coming up to MW to beat Barkley and give Haglerna hell of a fight.
