As we appear to be at the end of their reign, just want to give respect to the brothers Klitschko. Two boxers who did it the right way. Never out of shape, took on all comers, both fought until at least their early 40's.

20 years of getting it done at the highest level.

    Respect.

I have said this before here and will repeat it now -- Vitali Klitschko was the most dominant boxer I have ever seen fight, and I have seen many over the decades.

    Best wishes in retirement, brothers!

This is sad, I have always enjoyed watching them punching Westerners in the face, now I will miss it. :( They put up a boxing clinic and won 98 percent of the rounds total throughout their careers. They can go out and live a normal and academic life now, without needing to prove themselves. How many careers did these two brothers derail? It is astonishing :bananaride

Not sure, Wlad's 2 recent defeats and his losses to power punchers can be viewed as a blot on his record and raises question marks over his competition in his prime.

Easily the most dominant HW boxing tandem in history. If that was the end of the Klitschko story, what a way to go out!

Yeah, looks like the Klitschko era is over. Together, they ruled this division almost the start of the century, and brought credit to the game.

Yes they will both remain in history... Now it's time for the young beasts in the HW division to fight each other and revive the division... We are looking at a good couples years of decent HW fighting each other. They will all have a couple losses. Maybe we will get a couple rematches and trilogies :)

I have a ton of respect for Wlad for his performance against Joshua, but if I'm being 100% honest I can't say that Wlad didn't hurt the popularity of boxing. HW boxing was by far the most popular, and Wlad's style for the most part was a major turn off. What he did was great, but for the sport overall I do feel like he hurt it.

Yeah real boxing fans are going to miss Wlad being knocked out when ever he took a step up and fought somebody who punched back. Real fans are going to miss how Wlad was afraid to be hit and he used the punch 2 times and grab method to beat bums for the last 11 years.
