A 19 fight professional only been boxing 9 years total, risks it all against the old veteran and probable number 3 in his division.
Whoever got the KO in that fight both fighters come out looking great after putting it all on the line.
To often we see title fights that are just one sided mismatches against ranked cans. When two top level fighters get it on everything changes, the atmosphere, build up, speculation, hype it is all turned up to 11 the pressure on the fighters must be so intense.

As the winner it must be the greatest feeling in the world to know you are the best in that moment at what you do on the planet.
Not many get that privilege Wlad, Holyfield and Lewis in the last 20 years in the HW division.

My only fear is that maybe Joshua has faced his biggest challenge, Fury is class but styles make fights and his game plan from the Wlad fight just wouldn't work against Joshua. I don't think he has the power to stop being walked down (just my opinion I'm sure other some disagree) but Fury aside who is or could be at Wlad or Furys level ?

Wilder is ... well wild punchers change people say personally I think his power is still unproven he's fought no one unreal terms.

Parker looks ..... ok / decent but not outstanding, until tonight probably has best resume of the 3 belt holders.

Hughey .... doesn't hit hard enough would be walked down and stopped.

Pulev is big but just average and not huge power for his size

Bellew ... would not get in the ring with Joshua

Ortiz !! He's a wildcard not seen a huge amount of him but I know he is rated by some.

These fighters aside there is very little Povetkin maybe but I think he's to small for Joshua's and would be dominated.

We need some more talent stepping up to how Joshua some real competition.

Feel free to disagree just my 2 pence worth

Ortiz is Joshuas only competiton. Wilder isn't a good enought boxer despite his power and AJ's chin and defense is too good. Parker needs at least another year. Dude has the craziest speed and excellent power but hasn't been able to set anything up against more formidable opponents

I concur wholeheartedly btw. Off topic, but that was my reasoning for being of the opinion that Canelo was not scared of GGG but was just hyping the fight. Dude lost to Floyd and nobody for second held Canelo in anything other than high regard. For all intents and purposes, it wasn't even a loss. The same would be true for Canelo if he lost to GGG. Nobody would consider it a loss assuming it went to at least 10 rounds and he gave GGG a hell of time on the way. GGG on the otherhand is supposedly invincible and his 0 or a half ass win would cost him more.

What AJ has achieved in the short amount of time he's been boxing is pretty damn insane. Granted he didn't deserve to win his Olympic gold but he won a silver in the world amateur championships, losing on a razor-close decision against a now 2 x world amateur gold medalist beast who can punch holes through castle walls. Usyk didn't take up boxing until he was 15. He's been at it six years longer than AJ but I never would've guessed he started that late given his extremely high skill level and ability.
