Since the Aj/Vlad fight was competitive and did huge numbers, isn't it logical to assume there will be a rematch?
Wlad isn't in it for the numbers and the money so it won't be based on that, It will come down to weather Wlad want's to give it another go or not, I am really not sure, i would like to see it though, Wlad definitely still seems to have adequate physical skills but just how much did this take out of him mentally, He put everything into this fight #obsessed can he still find that same level of motivation? I am not sure.
I appreciate your astute observations. We shouldn't forget he's 41, which is ancient in boxing terms.
I'm not sure but there shouldn't be one. If Klitschko want's another last fight he should choose someone he can beat Wilder, Povetkin, Ortiz or Parker should be next for AJ. Fury maybe next year
He should go all out for Parker. Some negotiation with Hearn might be needed as they will want Parker also.
Yeah that's how I see it, Wlad went deep into the well to get himself in to the best shape he possibly could be in and motivation is finite at the tail end of a career can he really put himself through that again, he'll need to, to stand a chance of winning. And also will team Joshua want to put him in such another tough fight, back to back. Joshua also has mandatory obligations so even if both sides want it, it may not be immediately and will Wlad at his age be willing to wait? I think not.
Wlad is getting older and Joshua better so I don't think Wlad would have much of a chance and I think he knows it. It's not like he needs the $
I think there's a decent chance of it happening, I haven't watched the post fight interview yet but Wladimir says: "Of course, we have it in the contract, right now I’m interested.I need to analyse what the heck happened." Tweet from him this morning doesn't rule anything out: This content is protected
Wlads not going to want anything to do with another camp and fight like that. Aj is mentally a monster, add that trait to an ELITE level athlete and you have one that's very very very difficult to truly compete with
Think AJ now has two mandatories, Pulev (IBF) and Ortiz (WBA). Doubt he'd wanna be stripped of the title!
I think Wlad will retire. He has lot of good people around him including his brother who all have his best interest at heart. For 41 years old he put up a damn good and brave fight but it's so clear his skills have seriously diminished. He can't throw the right hand with any frequency his left hook is telegraphed for awhile now. He can get in great shape but when your speed and reflexes go, call it a day. He's made a ton of money and that fight although a losing performance showed everyone how good Wlad was in his prime and that's why he dominated for an entire decade. Cheers thanks for the memories.
