He is in a tough place now. If he'd lost this in devastating fashion u can bet they'd all be queueing up to fight him. But now.. He's beatable but dangerous. So who's going to want to meet him?
Can u imagine a heavyweight klitschko s age 60 years ago been in this position? I certainly can't, unless you count Archie Moore and he was poles apart from wlad.

Nobodies going to want to fight him. Certaintly not Wilder's handlers. Parker if he got frozen out of the big payday from the Fury, AJ, Wilder round robin might but I doubt it. Wlad should retire nothing left to prove. I'm quite confident Wlad of 4-5 years ago ko's AJ and Fury and funny thing is both would be written off as bums in a weak era. Now that Wlad is beginning to lose everyone is excited in the division again. It's Illusion vs reality with how he and the division were perceived. The fact is Wlad was so good he was a victim of his own dominance. Much like like Louis was and to an extent Holmes.
Glad the division is finally getting the spot light. And glad although it came in a loss Wlad finally getting the respect he deserved so long ago.

Its like some thing I mentioned earlier. Sometimes it takes a loss for people realise how good you are or were. Wlad is, at the moment, getting more respect than he did in a decade as champ. And the strange thing is, that will probably make him determined to fight on. Whenever that will end in tears. I don't know.

I agree with all of that. I really do hope he retires though. He's a smart man he has to know he's clearly not what he was and ignore the urge to return hopefully he has a good support system that convinces him it's best to move on leave the division in good hands. The fights of Parker, AJ, Fury (if he can get his act together), Povetkin and Wilder will make the next 2-4 years great for the division.

No way they would have performed this well in their 19th pro fight. Lewis was on his 24th fight when he got outboxed by Bruno and Bowe was made to look ordinary against Tubbs in his 24th.

Wlad yesterday was obviously declined by age, but very motivated and with tons of experience. He wouldn't be an easy fight for anyone.

Wlad at his very best would probably have won yesterday. But Wlad in his 19th fight probably wouldn't have heard the bell at the end of the 5th.

I actually had Joshua beating bowe at one point or at least giving him a battle. Now.. Not sure. One or two things in the fight that s made Me realise that aj has a long way to go yet. Yes he's young and inexperienced but I don't see that happening to Lewis or holmes etc at that stage of there career.

I think Fury is all wrong for AJ stylistically (provided he comes in ready to fight, which is no guarantee- he's often his own worse enemy).

As good as Wlad looked, he was still a year and a half older than the version that looked like a really old man vs Tyson. Yet, there was still a lot of success for him with movement, the jab, and the straight right- tools Fury took away in their fight. AJ didn't make him look nearly as slow on a comparable basis. If Tyson's movement is on point like it was vs Wlad, he'll frustrate the hell out of Joshua and beat him on points.

Wlad's problem was never stamina as much as it was composure. He gassed because he panicked. But with the help of Steward he really seems to have turned a corner after the first Peter fight. That makes peak Wlad a formidable fighter. A bit **** to watch :) but very, very effective.

People saying Wlad from 2-3 years ago would have finished Joshua are wearing rose-coloured glasses. Wlad was NEVER the type of fight to go after someone hurt. Most of his KO's came from one shot ending the fight. The Steward-era Wlad would have done exactly the same thing the Wlad from last night did: been patient, cautious and probably let him off the hook.

Even though the pre-Steward Wlad wasn't as formidable a package overall, he was a more dynamic offensive fighter, and I think he would have been able to take out Josha in the 6th.

Not really, nothing during that fight changed my assessment of Joshua as a fighter. He has the same flaws, I expected before and the same strengths, only thing we learned is he can go the distance, he has power late and he has a champions heart.

Tyson is not exactly 6'6''. You guys don't understand how important height is in boxing. Notice how Vladimir struggled to land his right hand on Joshua......a punch he's made a career landing on guys below 6'6''.

Not making a prediction but if you followed Tysons career and took off the tinted glasses, you'll know that Tyson struggled with tall heavyweights with jabs.

Wlad at his very best definitely wins yesterday, that version beats any version we've seen Yet of AJ. But he is young and can continue to improve.

You wouldn't have him beating a Bowe who came in with only 18 pro fights behind him?

But pre-Steward Wlad probably doesn't survive the 5th on the other hand.
