Prime WK would have finished the job. Looked like he was trying to win the fight on points rather than go for the kill, whereas AJ still had that killer instinct and was going for the KO throughout the second half of the fight. Joshua is a pure beast the way he got up and finished the fight. But he's a very limited boxer, almost a one-trick pony with that 1-2 hard right. Limited boxer who gets by with his unworldly athleticism. Epic fight though.
Based on the manner in which both boxers beat klitchko, that was heart in mouth stuff last night, fury won with ease. Also the fact fury is younger, stronger, quicker and hits every bit has hard as Klitchko You explain why AJ is better in your opinion
Styles make fights...and Fury doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as Klitschko. If Joshua can take a right hand from Klitschko he can take the best fury has to offer imo. I also think Klitschko performed far better against Joshua than he did against Fury. It's not a foregone conclusion, don't get me wrong, but Fury has looked vulnerable in the past and I just think Joshua would get to him at some stage. It was heart in mouth stuff because of the way Joshua fought and because of his inexperience, he made mistakes that he will learn from in his next fight, he's shown that throughout his career. I doubt Fury is stronger or quicker either, he's a completely different style of fighter to Klitschko, awkward but au just don't see him keeping Joshua off. If he fought how he fought vs Klitschko it'd be a different challenge butI think Joshua would be able to get in range and when he got there he'd have no qualms about what is coming back.
fury hits nowhere near as hard as klitschko you utter moron, could fury be the best heavyweight in the world because you have been getting sparring for gary cornish with them i think it will be a good fight with aj and fury but it fury wouldn't manage to mess aj about the way he did with wad, aj would cut the ring off better and throw a lot more punches than klitschko. are you forgetting that the one time wlad did hit fury he had him in trouble? now put into that the fact that tyson has been abusing his body since the great klitschko win i'd like you to point out why you have fury as such a big favourite against aj, parker and wilder considering he looks about 5-6 stone overweight at the minute and has a drugs ban looming i'll tell you why, because once again the fact that someone is helping you out with your fighter they and their team suddenly become the greatest things since bread came sliced. pull your tongue out of team fury's arse and actually base your point on facts not because you are friends with the fury's
Prime Fury beats AJ today no question. Fury needs to hurry up and fight him now cos in a year or two AJ might be a different fighter.
Klitschko fought better last night because he was allowed to. He was fighting a very limited (in terms of boxing skills) boxer in AJ. Fury completely nullified Klitschko, it was a masterclass of a performance to be fair. Hit but don't be hit is the whole idea of boxing. Fury would beat AJ. He wouldn't get anywhere near him, he wouldn't be allowed to. I don't believe Fury hits has hard has Klitschko but I think he would nullify AJ with ease. However, when it comes to attracting new people to the sport and filling stadiums...well AJ is your man.
eh dafty it wasn't Tyson gary sparred it was hughie. Tyson is taller, longer reach, fast hands what more reasons can I give? Oh and I had £500 on Tyson to beat klitchko at 7-2 that was 17 months or so ago not because we sparred a fortnight ago lol
Imo Tyson longer more frequently thrown jab would be the key against AJ, WK's jab was giving AJ problems last night
Just rewatched last nites fight. Gonna say something that most people will totally disagree with...but joshua is as chinny as you ll see. Whats getting him through these fights is his incredible fitness levels and his size. He completely shuts down. Everything goes from him...his recoveries unbeilevable eventually but he shuts down for too long...his recovery takes too long. A younger man will finish it. I actually think the whyte/joshua stories not quite finished yet. Whyte has the skillset to beat him...and whytes not a great fighter. The problem is joshuas such a devastating fighter...theres few that will be able to withstand what he can bring. But joshua once hurt...and lets be fair the only two opponents that have hit him have hurt him....is a completely different fighter to the one thats not been hurt. He,ll get finished. Joshua is a frank bruno clone. Hes slightly faster. And more explosive...but his loss is coming doesnt have to be a great fighter...just someone with the right skillset. Hes got a bigger heart that frank...hes got a lot of fight in him...but he actually takes longer to recover than frank physically. When frank was hurt everything went...mentally. joshuas mentally more aware when hes hurt...but physically he shuts down...for longer than bruno. Bruno just couldnt mentally recover. His brain shut down...instead joshuas physical attributes shut down. But its the same kind of syndrome as franks problems. The First 2 rounds nothing in it. Klitchko hits him with a leaping left in the 3rd...and joshua shuts down from then up till i think where he put wlad down was it the 5th. Wlad catches him again and joshua shuts down again...pretty much all the way till the knockout. Klitchko was winning every round almost from the 3rd. I dont want to take anything away from joshua because that was tremendous from him last nite. A great achievement. He caught klitchko at the right time but joshua was not at the right time either. I dont think fury beats him. Furys the best heavyweight in the world. But still think joshua will get through eventually. I actually fancy wilder or whyte to do it. And yet can name 4 or 5 better heavyweights. It will be a style thing that beats joshua.
