A Wladimir from five years ago who still had all of his reflexes and speed would of beat Joshua.

 

Maybe, maybe not. I lean toward prime Wlad would have won, at least against this pre prime AJ, but it's impossible to say with certainty. This Wlad had experience and mental toughness that might have been more important than the reflexes his younger self had lost. And AJ in a couple years will have alot more experience and self confidence. Just to hard to say who the better"prime" fighter is, and the fact is all we know is that this Wlad lost to this AJ.

I hope people who believe, as I do, that a prime Vitali would have had a good chance to beat any version of Lennox are consistent and recognize the same thing about AJ and Wlad.

The fact is Wladimir is 41, and nobody is at their best in their 40s just look back at history. This was supposed to be a fight were most people said Wladimir was going to get blasted out early. Wladimir was outboxing him just, and came very close to beating him, at 41.
