Why would it have looked like the Lennox fight?

That guy didn't even resemble the guy who'd beaten Bruno and Spinks etc.

It would be a very difficult fight for AJ, stylistically.

    When will you guys learn?

If you applied this logic to Mike's actual career, then how the hell was he able to beat the guys who he did? Go and check out the huge size disparities in almost every fight he had.

In a fight against a guy like Mike, being much bigger isn't ALWAYS A HUGE ADVANTAGE.

How about all of the guys who he did beat who were significantly bigger?

AJ is slow in comparison and has stamina issues.

It's ignorant to think that Mike's speed and style couldn't have gotten him inside AJ's defence.

It would be possible of course, but I don't see how it would be easier.

Lol that is the most silly comparison I seen. You win the moron of the year for that. You know there are weight classes not height classes right? Tyson weighed 220. Which meant he weighed more than Wlad did before the steroids and only 10 pounds less than Corrie Sanders who iced Wlad out in 4 minutes. You know Tyson fought various guys who were 6'5/6'6 and won right?

You picked Tyson but you still have it wrong. As I said there are weight classes not height classes. Tyson was a 220 pound heavyweight. His height has nothing to do with it. Unless we are going to come up with a height class in boxing.

Weight matters in boxing. Not height.

Again little kid, Tyson was short. But there aren't height classes in boxing. Tyson was a heavyweight weight. He was 220 pounds of muscle. Wlad turned pro in his 20's and only weighed 220.

I think Tyson stops him. That combination of speed, power, skill and aggression would likely be too much. Joshua of today is far from the finished article though.

Prime Tyson had movement alone that they wouldn't know how to deal with. He knew how to get thru jabs and attack the body, something most heavyweights today hardly do, almost a forgotten art, likewise with his combination punching, probably the best in heavyweight boxing. His killer instinct was 2nd to none. More athletic and explosive than David Haye, with Vitali's chin and IQ, Wlad's power, and mentality of Jason Voorhees with a voice of Mickey Mouse, if he had fighters intimidated back then before they even entered the ring, today they'd be getting therapy in group homes.

Good post considering AJ is similar to Frank Bruno (two times destroyed Tyson victim).

Oh Yes the myth of Tyson.

Went the distance with Mitch Green and James Tillis, and also with Tony Tucker FFS in his supposed prime and this is pre-Buster Douglas and pre-prison.

Yet according to many of the casuals here, he blows away everyone in the past 25 years other than Evander Holyfield.

Oh and AJ proved last night he is already better than Bruno. Bruno would never have recovered from that knock down in the 6th. He has never recovered when hurt against an elite HW. AJs win over a 41 year old Wlad is better than anyone Bruno ever beat.

I think its a case of Joshua being made to measure for Tyson, who was designed to slip punches against bigger fighters and be explosive inside, AJ is just slow enough for Tyson to have success. AJ showed he can be hurt and has teh stamina issues Tyson wouldnt mid fight, Wlad couldnt finish him but a prime Tyson probably would have landed a few finishing punches. As well as that, Tyson wasnt easy to hurt, I have a feeling he would be hurt less than Joshua thats for sure.

At this point anyway. For AJ to have a chance he would need better boxing skills keeping Tyson off. The only encouraging thing is that uppercut probably would Give Tyson problems but he would need a lot more that that. I think even the sluggish 89 Tyson that fought Bruno would give AJ nightmares, some of those combination were lethal, and that quick left hook you dont see coming.

No not accurate. Pac is a Featherweight and Sergey is a LightHeavyweight huge size difference. Tyson is a relatively small HW, but still a HW. The bigger the opponents are the less size matters. Size advantage has diminishing returns.

Tyson doesnt have many k.os with guys over 230.

Joshua DOESNT rely on jabs /something Tyson liked to slip under to set up combos.

Tyson was susceptible to uppercuts/Joshuas best punch.

Joshua is not easy to hit like you guys are claiming. And at 5'10 he isnt a 6'6 klitchko with 82 inch reach.joshua COULD smother Tyson and stop the combos, hes not a typical big man like tyson had fought. The best big power puncher he fought was actually Razor Ruddock not Bruno. Im nopt sure if you guys saw all the clean shots Klitchko landed on Joshua, its not a giving that Joshua is just going to fold with the first Tyson punch.

Tyson would be slightly favored in this one at Joshuas level now. what joshua has is fast combo punching himself on the inside the BEST for a SHW ive seen, bar none.

    V.Klitchko
    Mike Tyson
    Anthony Joshua
    Lennox Lewis
    Wlad Klitchko

would be top 5 H2h guys and i actually think wlad who showed up last night can beat any of them on any given night.
